    Greetings,
    long time player here, have enjoyed the mod since EB1.

    I started a Sauromatian campaign and noticed that in Khsaitai I can recruit Maryagatae but not Saii riders. In the EDU I see the Saii available since era 0, therefore their lack seems like an oversight. Also, are the Maryagatae not mercs anymore by design or is this a mix-up? If yes, how could I amend this?

    It was a small omission when designing the Royal Clan pool. Easily adjusted by reducing the number of Roxolanii in their favour, but not a savegame compatible change.

    Here you have inserted the Saii riders in the sauro royal core, while now they are missing. The sarmatian archers in the code above have been reduced to 0.08 from 0.12.
    I suppose you meant to decrease the Roxolani by the same factor, correct? Sorry for being pedantic but I am a bit out of my comfort zone in editing mod files.
    The sarmatian retinue stays as is - i.e. not mercs anymore?

    I saw the availability of 3 Roxolani to 2 Saii. Should it stay like that? For other factions, like parthia, the ratio is 4 Roxolani to 1 Saii.

    There's a fixed "budget" for every building, which is why increasing one means others have to be reduced. As long as you stick within that, you can't go wrong. Make sure you're using Notepad++ to make any changes.

    I've been informed they shouldn't be available in any other places, essentially. Just that change to the sauro_rcl.

    The Retinue aren't only a mercenary unit, they're a rare elite too, as above.
