    Default Pahlava unit roster question

Hello all. Playing as Pahlava on 2.35, I've reached around turn 110 and have recently completed the reforms. My question is: do i get better units at some point or am i doing something wrong ? I remember playing EB on RTW and after reforms i could get several different types of shock cav and more infantry options. Maybe the team hasn't finished the unit roster for Pahlava yet ?
In the pictures you can see the parthian cataphracts, used from the start of the game and the heavy cav i get after building the Parthian satrapy building. There are also pics of the two types of "reformed" governments i can build - the parthian border march and the satrapy.
If the faction isn't fully finished yet please tell me which ones are the most complete.

Macedonia(FYROM) is Bulgarian. If you don't believe me, read a book.

I've taken a look at Pahlavan recruitment...looks like most infantry will be locals through eastern colony buildings or allied governments. There are some decent ones available, but don't expect anything like hellnistic or Roman troops...

Edit: don't expect any decent infantry to come from steppes. Expand south into Seleucid lands to get them.

Firstly, forget everything you are used to in EBI, it is not an authoritative source for what you should expect in EBII. Recreating the original game is not a goal of the mod. I'd highly recommend you read the Player's Guide included with the mod, particularly the pages relating to the faction you're playing.

The reforms give you access to better governments, not units. If you want a different roster, you have to change whatever government you've installed in that region - the changes mostly apply to settled regions, though some new governments for nomadic regions do also appear. The Border Marches government is inferior to the Satrapy. That's why the Satrapy gives better options, costs more, takes longer to build, and is less widely available.

While there are some eastern steppe regional units missing, for the most part the Parthian roster is complete. You don't get access to the same units everywhere, most recruitment is regional in nature. Cataphracts come from the original starting homeland, and later are available in the Royal Satrapy.

Wasn't the historical Parthian army a mix of feudal heavy cavalry with a large number of local infantry levies? IIRC the standing heavy (Daylami) infantry units were mostly a feature of the later Sassanid armies. Most of your infantry ought to be locals of varying equipment and quality, if you need heavy inf. you can get the Kardakes and Pantodapoi Phalangitai through local colonies after the reform.

There's also the Akkadian Infantry, who are widely available through the Foreign Colony, and are the closest thing to a native hoplite in the east.

Will there be later versions of Cataphracts and BGs for them through upgrades ? Atleast the Gund i Spahbed (BG) says that its the early version in the Recruitment Viewer.

Okay. I've decided to take a look at Pahlava as I'm tired of Greeks in all their iterations. So, few related questions:

The royal/allied clan land. If I understand it correctly...royal land has to be administered by someone with same clan as leader (Daha at start, Arsacid after he dies), allied by someone from different clan, no matter what, but not totally different ethnicity. Do these provide different recruitment, or is it just a governor thing?

And where and when can I build Tocharian enclave? It's the only one worth it, and building browser isn't helpful there.

The Royal clan is only available in Hekatompylos, Asaak and Nisaya, and gives a higher tier of units than the Allied Clan (including cataphracts). You won't be able to recruit cataphracts outside of that traditional heartland until you can build a Royal Satrapy, post-reform.

Tocharian Enclaves are event-specific, they are made available by the various waves of migration. First wave opens them in the Sakan heartland, second a bit further south, third Baktria, fourth India.

And what are the requirements for the Royal Satrapy ? I can't seem to find any info on it in the game or the guide. I can't build it anywhere in my regions as well. I must be doing something wrong.....

A host of places with the royal_core hidden_resource. Do you own any of the following: Mysia, Bithynia, Lydia, Tsopk, Egrisi, Kartli, Adurbadegan, Syria, Adiabene, Media, Persis, Khwarazm, Gandhara, Pantikapaion, Skythiapolis? They must have Eastern Imperial 30%+ and be at least a City.
