Custom unit does not show

I'm new to modding, and I need help.

I've been following this tutorial: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-Unit-Creation
At one part it is stated that the unit should show ingame even though stats and unit card are wrong. Well, that doesn't happen for me. It's like the unit doesn't exist and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Here are some possible error sources:
1) You have set the size of the unit to 0 in main_units
2) You have spelled the unit variant incorrectly in unit_variants
3) You have set the height of the unit to 0
4) There is an error in the VMD file, presumably some forward slash or semicolon missing
5) You don't have "out of date mods" enabled, thus you can't load your pack
