Hotseat Rules


  • Factions can only use units with the title ‘militia’ or ‘peasant’ as garrison units and they are not allowed to leave settlements.
  • Level 1 settlements can have 4 garrison militia or peasant units. Level 2 can have 6, level 3 can have 8, level 4 can have 10 and level 5 can have 12.
  • You are only allowed to attack with a militia army if you only have cities and no castles. You can only have one army with militias that is allowed to leave a city, and it is allowed to be filled with the max of 20 units.
  • Only two artillery units are allowed per army
  • You have to besiege wooden walls for at least two turns and stone walls for at least three turns before you can attack it. Settlements without walls you can attack right away.
  • Agents are not allowed.
  • When you declare war you will have to wait on turn before you are allowed to attack. When there isn't a diplomat near you can also declare war through chat.


Victory conditions

  1. Units size huge
  2. Have the other enemies as client states. You become a client state when you have only one settlement left and your last army is defeated in a pvp custom match
  3. When a battle commences players have to party up and settle the score in a custom game similar to the units on the campaign map. The winner is allowed to play against a normal difficulty AI. You do not have to battle if you think the odds are not in your favor.
  4. You will have to be a client state for at least ten turns before you are allowed to betray your ally (the amount of turns can be discusses) You will have to declare war and wait one turn before your armies are allowed to enter the lands of your previous ally. You will have to listen to your allies’ orders for at least five turns, before you are allowed to ignore orders.


North-West Europe CCM 2 faction specific rules

  • Scotland Rabble unit does not have the name peasant in it and is allowed to be used in every army.
  • France and England are now allowed to make mounted sergeants and hobilars whilst Scotland is allowed to make border horse.
  • France is not allowed to use pikemen as army units. It does not have the name militia in it, but for balance sake you cannot use it in armies.
