December 10 Patch - Cannot Run DEI

Hello all. I need some help.

So, after today's patch for RTWII I am unable to run any DEI mods. I tried to revert back to the previous patch (tried launching on both patch 18 and 19) but both resulted in crashes.

Does anyone know how to make DEI work again? Thanks.

Well, yes: you wait a little. Most patches break many mods, especially huge overhauls like DeI. It will be updated, don't worry, just might take a few hours/days, depending on the patch changes. (I haven't checked those)

Mod is actually working. Just download standalone from here rather than use Steam version as last CA update broke something in workshop.

Also make sure that outdated mods are enabled.

Yes we are aware. As KAM said just use TWC's version. I would suggest using it all the time, as STEAM is a really bad modding platform to work with.

This. When the patch came out I also came here to the forums asking for help, just to later discover the mod was disabled and all I have to do was click on the "enabled outdated mods" on the launcher.

It was a Steam workshop issue affecting all Rome 2 mods that should be resolved now I believe.

for those still unsure, just finished recording another episode of Pyrrhic campaigns and everything seems to work just fine. i use Steam DeI version (plus several submods).

Just wonder if this patch would make my old saves incompatible? I don't wanna go back and refight everything.

There would have been a lot of people complaining about this, so most probably not.
