Do you have up-to-date video drivers? What are your system specs?

Re: Shutting down, Crashes, Restarts
I think that you might need to update your video card to at least a 7300. No offense man but thats's kinda slow. RAM looks good becasue thats how much i have and make sure to download the new drivers of Nvidia.com. My game is still having this problem however I'm getting a Nvidia GeForce 7300 through the mail.. But anyways definatly invest in a new video card. PeAcE

Re: Shutting down, Crashes, Restarts
I have a high end system and had the same problem, until i did the following things:
Turn off shadows.
Also, if you have a dual-core processor, Alt-tab every time you start the game, find Medieval2.exe in the task manager tab, "Processes" (not "Applications), right-click on it and select "Set Affinity", and make it so only one CPU is checked.

Re: Shutting down, Crashes, Restarts
Hahaha your kidding right? This my comp:
Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz(2 CPU's)
1022 MB RAM
5200 GeForce FX 256 mb
I can put bloom/reflection
Vegetation/grass/buildings on high
text quality on medium
AA x2
AF x2
my fps isnt that bad...unless theres like...2000 soldiers or something. I also turned off banners; so that raised my FPS a lot.
And I didnt have any crashes/freezing etc.

Re: Shutting down, Crashes, Restarts
I'm having the same problem. I am on turn 150 on my first campain so i hav been playing the game fine. but now Everytime i load the computer completly shuts down(like someone pulled the power).
My drivers are up to date.
I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled it.
I've added more computer fans.
I've taken my case off to let more cool air in. (So it not an over heatig issue)
I tryed formatting my drive and even installing xp64.
Nothing is working
I have a 4200 AMD DUAL CORE CPU
1gb ddr2 ram
and a ATI X1950xt
My computer can more than handle the game.
Its Madness!!

Re: Shutting down, Crashes, Restarts
maybe taking the case off leads to more dust getting in to those vital components, and remember dust burns like gasoline.

Re: Shutting down, Crashes, Restarts
I sorted it out.
I baught a New thermaltake PSU Today and it has solved all the issues.
My old psu was a colorsIT 600w with a 12v 36A output should have been powerful enough but because it wasn't a quality make or it may have been faulty.
New PSU is 700w with a 12v 56A Output
I would advise people who are still having trouble to check out there PSUs esspecilly people who have high end pc. Mega Graphics cards and mega CPU need quality power.
