    Default Byzantium Mod

I'm looking to make a relatively small mod to help improve the Gameplay of the Byzantine Empire.
    Download link. http://www.4shared.com/file/9287976/.../Byzmod_5.html

    I'm currently using Darth 1.3
    Early Generals mod
    Burreks Textures & Blood
    Pnutmaster and Dearmads Heraldry Mod
    Byzantium Recolor by WhiteWolf

    What I've done so far;
Made the Generals Bodyguard unit the Englinvarrangoi using saxon_bodyguard with english textures to represent the Englishmen that fled to byzantium following Hastings and subsequently made up the Varangian Guard.
Made the Unit Saxon Freemen using the Theign model to represent the 6000 saxons who fled to byzantiums and settled along the coast
Made the Tauroskythai representing Russian Auxillaries using the Varangian Model.
Added more mercenaries to the Consantinople region to represent the various latins that fought as mercenaries there.
Added Naffatuns as Bombardizos as part of a plan to include a modernized Byzantine Army based on a hypothetical military reform.
Added Scutatoi Touflaki using Cossack muskeeters skins.
Added Scutatoi Pikemen using flemish pikemen skins. Anyone have a better name?
Added Arab Gunners. Put camel gunners on steppe ponies, represent arab prisoners of war serving in Byzantine army. I tried to reskin them, however I suck at skinning and they showed up with parts completely black.
Added Venetian Archers and Heavy infantry as mercenaries starting in 1320.
All of these troops are recruitable in the campaign, although that aspect needs a lot of work, as I basically just put them into the campaign to test them out.
Added the Holy Icon as a unit. not in latest download
Added province and city of Athens. Will add more in the future.
Added General near Athens to occupy it.

I've also totally redone the mod to make it easier to install. It is now standalone, although I recommend using all of burreks skins, whitewolfs skins, and the early generals mod.

Known bugs: For some reason the Scutatoi Pikemen keep coming up named unrecongnized placement text. Campaign needs to be balanced, perhaps strengthen the turks to make it more challenging

Still need to add cannons, improve the kinds of mercenaries available. Any input on what kind of mercs or units to add is appreciated.
I'm looking for any comments, suggestions, ideas or help anybody wants to give.

This is just what I was looking for! I really like the idea of improving the mercenary pool for the Byzantiums. I was wondering if you could post a version of your mod as it is now? I would love to have the changes you've already made, and then I could make some suggestions after testing it a little.

The mounted gunners really need balancing. They can fire with incredible speed, and ought to more resemble the Mounted gunners of the Moors in my opinion.

    Otherwise, really neat units.

Ahiga- The Arab Gunners are just the camel gunners from the moor faction put onto horses, so their stats should be the same, unless being on a horse somehow increased the speed of their firing animation

Hey, great mod! I'm trying with some other mods which as of now works great!

I just have a little itsy bitsy problem. The Theigns have peasant looks. The models are in the file but its not showing in game. Any way to fix that?
