    Default Memory card 2GB?

    There's a question about memory:in mainboard description online I can read:Memory: Four 240-pin DIMM sockets.Supports dual channel DDR2 800/667/533 Un-buffered NON-ECC memory.Supports actual memory capacity up to 8 GB.
    • How shall man understand this moment: four sockets but memory up to 8 GB ?Is there some memory card which has 2 GB memory?Grateful for any helping info!

You could add 4 2 gig sticks there. So yes, there are 2GB sticks.

I don't know if I've ever seen 2GB sticks, but I do know that Windows XP has problems recognising 4GB of RAM.

True. Also, I don't really see the point in having any more than 2GB. I have a machine which i recently purchased in anticipation for Crysis, that only has 2GB ram.

I honestly don't see a need for 4GB of ram, stay with two. Besides, the performance benchmarks are minuscule.

yeh only battlefield 2 4GB of RAM is actually slower than 2gigs

If you want 4 gigs of RAM only put it in if your not planning on upgrading for a few years

4+ gigs of ram is for servers and workstations, no gaming rig is going to need more than 2 gigs, at least for now.
