    Not sure if this report helps but here it goes:

    Same turn I promoted a member of the 1st opposition party and also promoted a member of the 2nd opposition party.
    Result = 3rd opposition party Influence increased by 4% (I lost 2% influence, 1st and 2nd party both lost 1%)

    Most political actions I make ends up increasing the 3rd party Influence. Even with the 1st and 2nd party having a decent gravitas level advantage compared to the 3rd party.

    PS: I'm using the "@_influence_variables" pack posted in the OP, but I didn't edit any value.

    Btw, does Influence have any effect in the Risk of civil war? Or just Loyalty?

    I noticed that the loyalty bonus for a political marriage to another party was removed recently. Specifically, I'm referring to the permanent (as long as the character is alive) bonus attributed to the spouse - the temporary bonus that lasts for like 4 turns is still present. I would really like to see this bonus restored, as it was one of the only ways to build long-term support from another party. The problem with the current temporary option is that it requires a positive loyalty in order to enact, so for your more troublesome opposition, it's really hard to get the marriages. Also, marriages are one-shot deals that last as long as the character, so why shouldn't the bonus? Unlike sending a gift, they can't be redone after the 4 turn expiration. Once you get one, it only improves their loyalty for a couple of turns and the odds - at least in my playthroughs - of getting a positive loyalty again to secure another marriage are incredibly low. Whereas in the past I used marriage with my most difficult opposition to bring the loyalty value more in line with the other parties to where I can then engage in the various intrigues that require positive loyalty.

    can you explain better? never played stellaris. I get the concept though and it's not bad at all, I have some ideas in mind.
    No you can't have generals changing faction in any way but enticing them, which script roots are hardcoded.
    But you can assign entice to every party, thing I'll do with PIGS.
    Hypothetically you could link the event to a script, but I fear it won't trigger due to the impossibility to link it to a specific character and adopting party.
    Maybe a real scripter could find a way. We'll see.

    I found something weird about third party too, and as per the other thread, probably kpagcha and paladin where right, in the end.
    There is nothing you can do here, only mod intirgues to have some counter actions, but not very neat ones, I fear

    No, it doesn't, but I'm planning to add loyalty effects to the power % effect, so it will, with PIGS

    Are you talking about spouse's ancillary? Dunno if someone changed it, I'll check.

    Yes, the spouse card that shows up in the ancillary spot (although you can check the loyalty impact on the party’s main tooltip as well of course). I believe the change notes in 1.2.4 from Dresden said that it was reduced because the bonuses were stacking. I had assumed that meant that the husband was stacking with the wife, and so the values were halved. But I have no bonuses now for either.

    I'm gonna change quite every loyalty value and turn duration. I'll check them too.

    Btw I've just finished to write custom scripts and models for db tables, so now we will be able to pop up incidents or dilemmas after you choose an intrigue (not all of them, that's not possible).
    I've written the scripts with a simple random math variable so intrigues and events won't be always the same.
    Also I've changed half of the intrigues (the ones who have not hardcoded events, like marriage) so to be differnet and more useful, hopefully.

    Maybe tomorrow (or in a couple of days) I will be able to release the first packs containig family, intrigues and loyalty overhauls.
    They might be worse than vanilla's, they'll need to be balanced but the concepts are good, imo.

    Sorry for the delay guys, I'm really busy with job related issues and so too tired to mod.

    Anyway I'm gonna finish the scripted incidents for most of the intrigues (half of them has already been overhauled), doing a couple of family packs (not everything I'm planning for a scripted part about age, death, wounds, illness, fertility) and a rebalancing of civil wars.
    So we'll have a pre beta pack with many interesting things (hope so). Pre beta means ideas are good (imo) but testing and values adjustments will be needed.

    Sadly, it won't be possible to have dilemmas (more interesting due to choices) after an intrigue. I have tried in a lot of ways but it's not possible (afaik, I'll PM Litharion and see if he has time/will to help) to have payloads, just empty dilemmas.
    This is the way CA made it (max 2 choices for the hardcoded payload of changing capital and it's not possible to erase the payload part into scripts as per the incidents). The only way I see this possible (maybe) is triggering a fake mission and use this fake mission to trigger a dilemma.
    Anyway the random seed works well so we could write a lot of possible incidents based on a % chance (it's the only way for having variations.)

    Just a little spoiler about how the intrigue tab will most probably looks like in the pre beta (icons are just to show changes for testing, I've made them quick, some existing ones have been re-used for other purposes but they fit quite well for now).
