How do you upgrade units equipment after researching Carthaginian thureos and thorax reform tech advances?

I've researched the Carthaginian thureos and thorax reform tech advances, but there doesn't seem to be any unit i can upgrade the equipment of, even in provinces i own that i have barracks in? How do i get these upgrades? Or are they broken at the moment?

Did you reach actual reforms by minimum turn number and imperium size? Reforms techs in technology tree only allow scripts to work but do not grant reforms on its own. Please read our manual, it is in sticked threads. If reforms did not work, you have a mod conflict.

Oof Homie I highly recommend your read the guides stickied to this forum. DeI has a lot of complicated(ish) systems that take some research to figure out. You’ve got supply scripts, population mechanics, Area of Recruitment Units, and most relevant to your inquiry, DeI’s custom reform scripts which differ greatly from Vanilla’s reform like mechanics. The short answer to your question is that on top of completing the purple reform tech, which it seems like you’ve done, reforms are also tied to turn numbers and other conditions that you can read about in the aforementioned guides page. Ok thanks both of you - i have read some of the text guides, but i have a strong aversion to videos - seem like a waste of time watching them, when with a text manual or guide you can go straight to the bit you want to find out about

That is why we have both. Also we even have submods if you want to turn off certain features like supply system.
