    Default [MOD] Campaign Camera Mod For Patch 20

    With this mod you can zoom out very far in very close, but is still in beta, as I have note edited the scripts for ALL DLCs (some I have)
    But it works with most campaign, also DeI

    1) You have a good mod! But there is one bug. In the campaign of Actavian Augustus, the introductory video does not work. And an advisory introductory briefing too. Need to fix.
    2) In the future, support will be added for the campaigns of Hannibal at the Gate and the Fury of Sparta ?!

    Hi. I know there is an issue with intro videos, but it is an easy fix. I have just not done it yet. Foe each campaigns a lot has to be edited for everything to work. It is why it is labelled BETA on Steam. But I will get to it and make it function for all DLCs. But still now It works with most of them.:-)

    Hi. By the way, in the fashion "patch 20 battle camera", a low speed camera movement is set. Even the slider until it stops does not help. Need a fix.

    I have changed nothing to do with camera speed in that mod at all. And the sliders for adjustment of speed ARE responsive, when I use it.

    I just discovered that the mod is breaking some scripts with the DEI in Caesar in Gaul Campaign - population system is not working anymore, so I had to disable this mod

    Well, it edits the scripts for the campaign, it has to, because the campaign camera stuff is in there, and there are only one to 2 script files per campaign, that contain camera stuff (and SOME gameplay stuff, that is why the a camapign camera scripts needs to edited specifically for the campaign it is used for), so I would need to make a DeI specific version to be entirely sure nothing happened, as it is not explicitly made for DeI. it is made for vanilla patch 20, but I COULD make an explicit DeI version, if enough people want it. But I have not heard of this problem before, and it has been out for a long time.

    I think with the amount of ppl playing DEI as opposed to Vanilla it is well worth it, i definately would use it if it doesn't interfere with DEI's edited scripts.

    For some reason, the speed with the mod is lower than without it.

    Maybe nobody played this mod with DEI in Caesar in Gaul Campaign.

    Well, I just got personal permission from Dresden (the creator of Dei) to create a camera submod for the current Dei version, BUT campaign camera mods can be a lot of work, and I really don't want to do it, if only 2 people will ever use it. It needs to have a bit more broad appeal. That basically means that I need to hear from potential users that, "yes, this is something we want".

    Also maybe a constricted battle camera which limits the high and scope you can increase to. Would be very cool

    You would only be able to adjust camera settings by editing a file. I can't add new menu items or at least i don't think I can.

    Yes phazer, this is something we want. (Obviously it's up to you to decide)

    If Dresden gave you permission, maybe you could open a thread into DeI's submod section which is really more crowded than normal Rome 2 threads.
    Start things there and see how things go, then if you won't finish it no one will ask you anything.
