No terminating error in that log, is it the one from immediately after the crash?

The "fatal graphics error" is memory-related, you'll need to research some fixes to that.

    Yes, immediately after the crash.
    Googled fixed did not help.

Thanks, adjusting my settings after reading this fixed the first problem, though I get a CTD after the battle is won now.

So, first of all, your log file is the small one, and not helpful. You have to go into the EBII.cfg file and set the error logging to "trace" (it should look like this after you fix it):

    Code: [View]
    [log]
    to = mods/ebii/logs/eb.system.log.txt
#level = * error ## generates a smaller error log file. Use this setting during normal gameplay
level = * trace ## Currently disabled. Generates a large error log file. Use this setting when tracking down a CTD
Also we're going to need a lot more information. Does this CTD happen in every battle or only in one particular battle? Is it always on the same turn? What happens if there is no battle and you wait a turn? What faction are you playing? What turn is it? You see where I'm going? You are asking us to help you but are giving us almost nothing to work with. Give us the back ground on your campaign so we have some idea of who, what, when, where.

    Alrighty, got it sorted now.

Game ist Parthia M/M early game, current crash happened on Carthage's turn, though the game keeps crashing on several occasions, end turns, starting battles, ending battles and one was on (trying to) load a quick save from the menu.

Nothing unusual in the either log, besides the terminating crash. You're doing yourself absolutely no favours with this ridiculously long path: C:\Users\Sander\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War

As a contrast, mine is D:\M2TW

Can I "fix" this by copying the game into C? Or won't it start then?

Alright, works starting it out of C then, I report back if there are more crashes.

Another crash now, starting out auf C on end turn Numidia, though the log is from 01:27 AM lol

A continual series of non-repeatable crashes are a flashing neon sign which says, "there's something wrong on your end". It's usually an incorrect installation of some type, but it could be some sort of hardware incompatibility. There's nothing we can can do other than to suggest a completely new installation (of the entire game, not just EB2), and that includes following all the EB2 installation instructions exactly, AND reading up on ways to make the installation path as short as Steam will allow.

Edit: I assume you are not playing with "autosaved" games? Autosaves cannot be used, as they are frequently corrupted (and the symptoms are similar to what you are experiencing)

Guess I need to try this out then ... though it's a fresh install, but well.

    No autosave stuff, nopes
