thanks for following. Pyrrhus is edging (rather slowly) towards reaching Sicily. hopefully, i will be able to upload the 7th episode tomorrow. thanks again

new episode is up - Campaigns of Pyrrhus, 7: August-October 278, Consolidation in Magna Graecia

episode 8 is up - Campaigns of Pyrrhus, 8: Autumn 278, Rome Stirring
In this episode, Rome starts to seriously flex its muscles.

updated the game to the latest patch (27 Oct), and released episode 9: Winter 277, Sicilian Expedition. In this episode Pyrrhus marched into Sicily (at last!) but Rome caught us in the moment and is amassing a very large force next to Pyrrhic held Magna Graecia.

i also updated some audio setting so that the voice narration is a little louder and better heard. for those who never watched these gameplay videos, it is all about history and gaming combined, where latter is guided by the former. if you think you may appreciate this type of approach, please check out the channel, subscribe and leave a comment to help me improve the content!

Your series motivated me to visit Epirus again. For the first time I was able to liberate Rome (just the region) and have a Roman ally help me finish the rest of the Romans off. It was tooth and nail every battle. What a fun campaign. Now on to Sicily and Carthage! Keep up the good work on this series, I really enjoy each episode.

thanks a lot. an interesting alt-history you've got going there. if you interested in sources on Pyrrhic wars check out the 'bibliography' in the description below the videos. i find books/videos to be very helpful with both better understanding of factional history and current affairs as well as immersion-wise.

    thanks for watching

ps. now that the part 1 issue was sorted (thanks Dresden), i may be able to record and publish episode 10 within next couple of days.

updated to 1st Nov patch and released episode 10, Roman Invasion.
In this episode, Rome attempts to destroy Pyrrhic hold on Magna Graecia and launches a massive two-pronged attack.

btw, quite impressed by the AI. not sure if its the latest changes introduced with Scipio's update, but there were some very smart moves by the Roman AI. it calculated, quite correctly, the strength of their armies vis-a-vis mine and launched a blitzkrieg, Roman style.
the way things look atm, next episode will most likely see us fight for the very survival of Pyrrhic presence in southern Italy.

What's the secondary faction popping out in Rome after liberating it?

"Regnum Romanum" or something along those lines.

    This

They have been a very reliable ally. With Rome vanquished I'm now letting the region recover and not getting them involved in my wars. But they are a nice ally to have in the north while I deal with Carthage and then perhaps on to Macedonia.

It depends on the region I believe.

haha, indeed, i feel it wont be a walk in the park. tbh, im not much of a youtuber either but i found sharing one's passion and hobbies with the world can be rather satisfying. it is somewhat similar to modding, perhaps?

Have you thought about other campaigns as well? Maybe you could do a historical Caesar in Gaul for example?
oh, yes, thanks for reminding me about the Easy Diplomacy. given latest developments, it may come handy soon
i have thought about CiG, yes (and Hannibal at the Gates too), absolutely! for my needs, CiG is actually a much better suited platform, with its own more detailed map etc. and i own the best English translation of Caesar's Complete Works the money can buy. i had many different ideas, its just finding the time to dedicate to it that im struggling with.

thanks for watching and stay tuned for some trashing of Pyrrhus (hopefully not!)
