I have had this since day one playing EB2. Whenever I double-click to make a unit run to its destination it is eventually interpreted by the game as a single click and the units end up walking. Unless I am pointing toward an enemy unit, in which case they actually run/charge. If I do it in pause mode, the game recognizes the double-click and makes the icon indicate that a run command has been given. However, when I press play to resume, the icon actually changes and the unit walks accordingly.

Have you experienced the same behavior? Does anyone know how to fix it? So far I have kept my finger on the "R" key to confirm my orders, but I am not really happy with that workaround.

How bizarre! I can't say I've experienced anything similar. Could your actual, physical mouse be the culprit? If it's wired, maybe check inside for dirt. If it's wireless try changing the battery or charging it more?

This is what makes it so bizarre really. I have a wired optical mouse that seems to be working just fine for all other games and purposes. And really, if in pause mode I click once, a walk command is issued (one arrow). If I click twice, a run command is issued (two arrows). So the mouse input comes through correctly, but as soon as the game has its way, the command is cancelled and the units walk. I can actually see my run command being changed into walk command in front of my very eyes without doing anything (no other clicks or keystrokes). And it is constant, not just on occasion.

That definitely sounds like an input device problem.

I have the same.I only have it with MIITW, RTW is fine.
It seems like the maxtime between doubleclicks is reduced or someting because with very very fast clicks it doues work.

Yes, I too experience no trouble whatsoever in RTW. The thing that really makes me wonder is that in pause mode I can see the run command being issued. And then it changes. So it is hard to understand how the actual physical clicking speed contributes.
