1.The upvote and downvote system it limits discussion and is easily abused by idiots.
2. The sheer amount of overtly political BS

3.The trolls by god the trolls which is ironic because the upvote and downvote system I mentioned was created to stop the trolls

4.the same old tired jokes my god we get it you like the office donald Bloody Trump etc.

5. It's a toxic environment that encourages mob rule and harassment the admins like Spez do nothing to fix..

in conclusion It's truly the mos eisley of the internet where people pretend to be these powerful gods when they are not a hive of pure scum and villainy who do not care the least little bit about you vary rarely do you come across somebody genuine.

People will usually act like complete

in larger online communities because it's simply too big to moderate and discussions evolve very rapidly.

Smaller community is manageable where people may actually think twice before acting as complete tools.

It's a complete mess. Useful discussion and rational debate are totally buried. I have many issues with TWC but the best thing about it is that lurkers who know nothing about a given topic are invisible here. In Reddit they are the ones who ultimately decide who wins a debate by burying anyone else with downvotes. Reddit is like fighting in a boxing match where the audience is the referee.

The other reason I like TWC, in particular the D&D, is that we tend to attract some quite intelligent people from a wide variety of countries and of differing ages. It's a real shock to the system to go on Reddit and be met with the full force of the cascade of ignorance that is the human products of the last 20 years of the American education system. Not that the British subs are much better.

The worst thing about it is it's an aggregator and not a real forum, meaning it's what you say that's important not who you are. This means if you don't behave as if you are a part of the prevailing hivemind, you are instantly attacked by everyone, like a virus identified by antibodies in the bloodstream. Having any kind of a personality there is a no-no.

I just deactivated my account today because I also noticed that I was being follwed by downvote spammers/A group of people who seemed to have an agenda against me

I stick to a few sections of Reddit for books/tv series I like, history and video games with the odd journey into conspiracy, askreddit and tales from retail, try and avoid political stuff for the mostpart although being on Reddit has certainly made me as dissapointed in the left as the right at times, though I have to remind myself 60% of users are outside North America and most are probably 13.. heck I was 12/13 when I signed up to TWC, can't imagine some of the stupid posts I made towards the start.

Its interesting watching subreddits develop.. Westworld only started last year and by midway season 2 the fanbase was pretty much divided.
