    Default Make Egypt more interesting?

I'm just wondering, does this mod make Egypt more interesting at all? In vanilla, Egypt is boring after you get to high period, because you get almost no new units. If it doesn't do anything to the Egyptians, I recommend you make them a lot more interesting, seeing as they are the only faction with barely any unique units and not the most powerful units. The Malmuks are fun, but a dismounted Malmuk would make them at least a little more interesting.
"Although extraordinary valor was displayed by the entire corps of Spartans and Thespaians, yet bravest of all was declared the Spartan Dienekes. It is said that on the eve of battle, he was told by a native of Trachis that the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fired their volleys, the mass of arrows blocked out the sun. Dienekes, however, undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh, 'Good. Then we'll have our battle in the shade.'" - Histories, 7.226

Egyptians aren't unique? Compare them to Euro factions, which share huge amounts of units with each other.

I do agree however, that Egypt could be spiced up. I always feel relativly secluded in my corner of the world and make copious amounts of money.

It does seem odd that there aren't dismounted Mameluks, maybe that would be ahistorical?

All the units are very VERY similiar ... but this was a CA decision. Youy will notice all catholic faction have almost the same armies and all islamic faction have almost the same units ... only the orthodox are a bit different from each other. I cannot wait till the mods start churning out some new units it will realy flavor up the game ... there are just way to many generic units and factions ... all you really do by playing another faction is changing the color you play with ... it would be nice if things went deeper then that ... but that will come with time!

I wouldn't say it's that way with every faction. England and France are perhaps the best factions, getting a mostly unique roster. The turks do as well, byzantium especially, and Russia, while the others vary in how much or little there is diversity (Portugal and Spain suffer this a lot, Poland and Hungary suffer a little - their diverse units look kinda iffy, or are poor in stats or abilities).

Egypt is one of the worst sufferers to this, and do need a fixing up. I've heard conflicting reports of their armies. While I want to say they should follow an Arabic tradition influenced by the Turks, I don't know what Arabic tradition is, except that I had heard they were a bit more favorable to the lance and sword than the Turks.
