    Default Slavery issues

Playing Carthage. I confess I took my eye off what I thought was an under control Tripolitania. Paying attention to my fleets trying to strangle Rome, and my incursion into Spain. All of a sudden, I have serious unrest problems because of an increase in slaves that I did not suspect was happening.

All of a sudden, I have -34 PO because 90% of my population are slaves! OK, I admit it was not likely "all of a sudden". But where did they come from? And more importantly, how do I get rid of them?

No, I have no slave buildings at all. No improvements that increase slave population. How do I reverse this?

Well you aren't using it now, but for me the cause was the Sport and Games edict. It currently increases slave pop instead of decreasing. If you were using it before, just don't and it will start dropping. The edict problem will be fixed soon. If you hadn't used Sport and Games, might be another cause.

That is it. Initially I did implement the games edict. Thanks.

BTW, I have been trying to place your avatar. I know it is Lon Cheney Jr., I just cannot place the movie that it is from.

Yes Swarbs that is Daryl Dixon. I just googled gagged man while my complaints about the launch of Rome 2 were being censored. I've said i need to move on, but haven't actually changed it yet. Kinda gotten used to it now.
Oh and i can confirm slave pop will return to normal quite quickly without the edict.

Hmmm, the effect of the games edict is to increase slavery, yet the description of the edict says it will decrease slavery.

I had the same problem with rome.
I reloaded the campaign and looted three cities in two turns. -30 PO after some turns, reload and looting. Reload and again. I had to reload my campaign at least five times until I understood that the -30 PO came from slavary.
    Maybe looting raise slavary.
