King Frein stood over the walls of Belgost one of the two great dwarven city's that ruled the blue mountains one of the two great clans. Here in the blue mountains the Firebeards and Broadbeams made there home.
Home, he thought as King Frein looked over the vast city of Belgost and the surrounding ice coved mountains.
He then took a seat at the head of a huge rectangular table with vast thrones rising at the sides so his council may sit.
Each throne was beautifully made of gold and silver edged into the number of different patterns that coved the throne.
The table its self-was filled with different coloured gems that lit the room when the sun reflected off them.
The members of his council sat down mumbling and talking about different agreements mining rights and a number of different minor problems that filled the kings day.
He sat there waiting, listening to their arguments but he knew as soon as he spoke his decree would be law. Yet something was amiss.
Reports where coming in dark creatures on the roads and coming into close contact with small outlying mines.
Frein stood the people around him, his council looked up and waited on a response.
"Tell me any news on the elves we have remained allies with them all and yet dark creatures have been steadily coming into our lands. Has there siege been broken why have we not been informed. It seem's every year we grow more distant with the elves as if we have been forgotten," Frein took a breath as he looked out towards the city.
"It is time for the elves and men to decide if we are needed. Our steel and iron are among the best in the world. We guard the northeast and yet..."
It was strange apart of him wanted to stay allied for that was what a good dwarf would do loyalty was all. His cousin in the other grand city had stayed away from war and their power had not increased maybe war was what the dwarfs needed to increase their power.
"Write this to our allies,"
To our elven and man allies. We still guard the northeast. We have been finding dark creatures that have been coming into our land. Each is swiftly destroyed by the dwarven strength.
We have not heard anything recently about the other parts of the world how does this seige progress has it been broken.
The Dwarves led there strength and craftsmanship to our allies and that we will hold the North East Passage. We get little news and hope to see elven and men dignitaries soon.
