The elves notice that the darves are in grave peril and losing that front, making the entrance to lindon via the vally completely open, they have sent messages with aid. Furthermore in the north, the elves notice 2 stacks coming down, unable to engage in battle or even win, they stay behind the walls, hoping that those walls will protect them. This is the army of the elven faction leader, he knows he can hold inside and maybe even win a sally out if only one dark force seiges the city but he knows he cannot win vs the 2 without quick aid. the question now remains, to stay inside and fight, using the walls to kill as many enemy forces as possible, losing but hurting the enemy, maybe enough to halt their advances, OR run south in the hope of reinforcements, to face the enemy in a less favorable location....

Up north, the guerilha general keeps on going, he is sadden the other generals died in the city, but nothing could had been done last turn as they run out of movement points, he now attacks a walless village, and kills the orcs inside, that land is near the Doriath elves, and he hopes they will send a garrison quick...

The bastion city of Minas Mithrim has fallen to the hordes of Angaband. Now the road to the West lies wide open for Morgoth's wrath...

Glaurung's pride took a heavy blow for the elves managed to outsmart him and push his mighty horde back. While this defeat is very much bitter for him, he knows, that another ill fated attempt will not yield any results, so for a time, he will take a brief rest within the ruins of Amon Ethir.

The elfves of Doriath were not unknowing of the path of the dragons and its occupying force and small patrols had been sent south to follow , in the wake of its destruction. The mountain of the petty dwarfs had been attacked and stormed by the darklords minions, destroying all they could find and despoiling what they could not take .Some of the petty dwarfs wise to the deeper tunnels and caverns in the mountain, escaped into those deeper chambers, avoiding destruction at the hands of orcs , as they reformed communities far below in the dark caves , telling tales of escaping the rain of death dealing fire, that had exterminated most of their race.

It was in the pain of that destruction that two doriath spies followed up the trail of devastation, reporting back to the Thingol of the destruction of the petty dwarfven community , and the lack of defences which had been left behind as a garrison. There was but one company of orcs and a small grouping of young fire drakes who were still without wings, unable to the leave the ground , making them still vulnerable, so if Thingol could act quickly , he could find opportunity to gain a precious stronghold, and also cut off the dragons forces to the south, from the supplies and communications that were arriving from the north.

A army had been assembled and departed for this hill of Amon Rudh , but in the meanwhile the elven spies infiltrated the caves and awaited the arrival of the army, but outside a ambassador from Morgorths lands had arrived, to report back on the dragons progress and was quickly silenced, for their would be no word going back to the north, of what would occur here or further in the south.

The morning , the elven taskforce arrived, silently , as ever graceful , they climbed the hill, and helped by the spies, they flooded into the halls inside the mountain, using cavalry to distract the drakes, the spearmen moved to overwhelm the small orc garrison. The orcs proved little problem, but the drakes with their toughen skins , and fire breath, proved a mighty foe, their fighting spirit was only dampened, when the elfves began to target their eyes, taking their eyes from them, leaving them to whirl , attack and spin moving apart from each other losing purpose. Every few days, the elfs would dart back into the caverns, pick on one particular drake, and hammer away at it, until it was dead. It was in this fashion that all of the drakes were bought low, at little cost, for their were some elfes, that had fallen,as in the initial attack, wounds had been taken from drake fire, and they slowly succumbed to the burns, days later.

The caverns still stunk of ash, and the despoiling of the orcs,as things took time to repair and make good, as best the elfs could manage, as they even ventures into the depths, calling back some of the petty dwarfs to return and promised them protection. The elven commander climbed on the outside of the mountain to the top of the hill, as the swift breeze caught his hair, swaying it with its strength. The commander sighed knowing that their pains were not over, as the dragon had been beaten but not defeated in the south, in a gallant and heroic effort from the southern elfs, but ever in the north, two balrogs gathered more forces, and now traveled south , back into the forest of brethil , where the men of Haldad, had just regained some of their lands, and were pickingup the pieces of the last attack from the north.

The commander picked up a handful of the Seregon, its red flowers particular just to the summit of this mountain, and let a few of them blow from his open hands in the air, taken from the winds. The winds blew the flowers to the north, as they jumped, skipped and danced in the grip of the winds, as they sailed out into the lands. The elven commander sighed then, his view looking again to the north, to the forest of brethil, where hence the red flowers of Amon Rudh blew towards.

From the heights, even in the night, Cirdan could see the remnants of the shadowy town miles away, Amon Ethir, a town that the dragons had devoured on their way south. The moon, when it was uncovered by clouds, silhouetted the broken forms of buildings in the distance with its light. He strained his Elven eyes searching for Glaurung. It was hard to believe the great dragon was hiding among that. The beast was massive; Cirdan had seen it twice before in all its fury. He clutched the sword at his side, the weapon which he had used to shed blood just days before. A terrible fight it had been at Nargothrond. The Elves had lost nearly a third of their number, but it had been worth it. Had Glaurung reached the city then nothing would've remained. Cirdan let his grip slacken until he finally rested his hand by his side. They had won, though he almost couldn't believe it after the defeat he had suffered at the Pass.

Someone moved behind him, and Cirdan turned to greet Lord Faeron, his greatest commander. "Do you have something to report?" Cirdan asked.

"Yes," Faeron said. He wore no helmet, as usual, even though the enemy could come upon them at any time. A fearless warrior Faeron was. Cirdan was surprised he survived the combat at Nargothrond so unwounded. "The Noldor are coming as quickly as they can, but still I advise an attack. There are pathways into the city that I have scouted. As they sleep we could come upon their makeshift den in numbers, and pierce each of them with a dozen arrows before they knew we were there. If we wait then they could escape, and we'd have to give chase again."

"No, we will wait for more numbers," Cirdan responded. "I mean to end this as soon as King Orodreth arrives, but I won't risk losing more warriors than I must." Faeron bowed in acquiescence. He was loyal to Cirdan, and would follow his Lord to the gates of Angband. "Is there anything else to report?" Cirdan added.

"Yes, I almost couldn't believe the news when I heard it. There are Men to the north flying the banner of the House of Beor, the Men of Dorthonion. They're coming south in haste. When my scouts came upon them they still believed the dragon to be threatening Nargothrond. They were told the news and they pledged to come here and help us defeat the dragon. I expect they'll arrive even later than the Noldor, my Lord."

Cirdan nodded. He would like to fight together with Men again, even though he had failed the Men of Brethil. "You are dismissed, Faeron. Get some rest while you can. We'll be in the thick of the fight soon enough." The commander bowed again, and left, making his way through the dark forested heights back to the camp.

Soon after Cirdan left towards the camp too. He had to write a letter to King Thingol to inform him of the great victory.

The elven amushment continue to do a great job.

This time, they hid on the forest and had the spies ready. They opened two cities, one even killing the spy inside although it wasnt even needed.

This time, the general took the city poorly defended, and once the city was taken, he accepted one of his brave men as an adoption, he went and took the other city, this time protected with a strong orc leader inside. both cities were taken

a diplomat of the enemy was also killed elsewhere

Now they main problem was.... those cities were empty bc two massive stacks marched south, and they were able to seige an elven city sooner than expected.... there were no renforcements, and even though they planned a sally out, they knew it would end in defeat.... so now the king of the elves and the northern army remain inside awaiting their eventual doom.... hope is they use the castle walls to take down as many drakes as possible...

This next i didnt fight, its just to show the forces.

With the men of ulfang now about to die, although unfortunetly not dead yet, the hope is that soon reinforcements can come from that region to help the elves against those 2 stacks, plus another one inside a city, plus another balgorn coming down, plus the forces in the mountains...

needless to say, the elves are in grave danger with all of these attacks and enemies coming

The arrogant elves payed for their insolence for daring to stage attacks on the dragons. Their High Chieftain and his great army payed with their lifes for their arrogance, as the great swarm of drakes rushed towards the settlement, overwhelming it in a quick battle and showing the world, that the Dark Lord's forces are supreme.

After the destruction of the capital of House Ulfgang, the hunt for the last remaining traitors has begun. After their last forces are destroyed, the race of Men will be cleansed from the taint of Morgoth's pawns, or so the people of House Bór would believe....

There is hope and their is despair, two sides of the same coin ,of which news of both kinds entered the land of Doriath, with ,to the northwest , two armies lead by Balrogs, returned to the forest of Brethil, sacking Cabed-en-aras , and laying siege to Drugobel both held [or previously held] by the house of Haldad, which had just returned there. With the forces of Doriath ,returning from the southwest, after taking the amon rudh, they had not the strength , nor the readiness to repel such a invasion, and the forces of Doriath returned to their usual defensive lines, just within the Girdle of Melian.

But their was hope in the south , as the joint forces of nargothrond, and the Falathim had destroyed the forces of the dragon in the south, and perhaps had even destroyed the dragon itself, ..or so the news on the wind said, but the elfs of the forest of Doriath, were to worried about the shadow from the norths forces, re-entering the forest, to worry about such potential good news.

Before dawn the lords met, Sindar, Noldor, and Edain. They confirmed the plan swiftly, and then departed in haste back to their armies. Cirdan was steady in command. He had faced the drakes twice now, and this time his side held a clear advantage. The dragon Glaurung escaping was the worst that could happen today; a victory was inevitable. Their horde was trapped, burrowed into the ashen remains of the town they had burned weeks ago. Now it was time for the forces of the light to strike back, to avenge the slaughtered.

In the gray twilight he ordered the advance, and the Falathrim swiftly rushed into the ruins. There faced no resistance on the outskirts, but soon enough battle commenced. Drakes slithered out of cracks and crevices, the fire-breathing ones engulfing warriors in searing flame. Elves fought back, piercing their hides with spears from below, and bristling them with dozens of arrows from above. The Elven shields and armor were able to resist fire somewhat, at least from the lesser drakes. The swiftness of the archers above, and their marksmanship, now honed in battle against the drakes, was deadly to the foe. As the battle continued the Drakes fell in increasing numbers, and in swifter time as Cirdan's warriors gained confidence.

Eventually his army met up with the Nargothrondians from the south, and the Edain from the north. They were near the center of the ruins, and most of the drakes were dead or wounded. Cirdan was thinking that Gluarung might have escaped somehow, for the dragon was nowhere to be seen. But then the white-scaled beast appeared, causing terror. It breathed its wicked fire on Elf and Man alike, turning metal, flesh, and bone to ash. Cirdan was nearly engulfed in the burning heat several times, and he lost sight of King Orodreth in the comotion. All fled, the hearts of warriors turned to fear. Cirdan was about to join them, but he looked back at the beast, and saw an unforgettable sight.

A single Man, one of the Edain, faced the dragon alone. He fought with more ferocity than Cirdan had ever seen, unyielding as he wielded his sword. He dodged the sharp claws, the all-melting breath, the flesh-piercing fangs. None of it fazed him. He was a warrior of vengeance, fighting against the one who had burned his homeland to the ground, determined to slay it. The courage of a single man inspired all those who saw it, including Cirdan, and they rallied. Archers began to shoot again at Glaurung, their arrows shattering harmlessly against the beast's armor. Spearmen rushed forward only to be trampled, or seared by the flames. It all still seemed useless.

Then the man, still locked in combat, thrust his sword deep into the dragon's belly, through a spot where there was no scale. Glaurung reeled and roared as his thrashed, finally falling dead in his blood. It was over, finally over. Cirdan's bane, the Edain's bane, the dragon which could've burned through all of Beleriand, was dead. Slain by a single man.
