considering the fact that the last 7 turns have taken over 2 1/3 months to complete [69 days] {oct07,oct26,nov19,nov22,dec4,dec8,dec19-} shall we examine whether this hotseat is to continue? with players going missing and more and more people having problems with reliability, perhaps it might be time to consider halting this one? i have for one have enjoyed this , but it does seem perhaps a mercy to put it out of its misery ? what do people say?

I wish to continue myself, but the hotseat is quite slow. I haven't played a turn since early October. I am willing to sub another faction to have it continue.
Perhaps I could return as admin/player to improve the situation?
It's been great fun playing this hotseat and I would hate to see it go. I too am willing to sub a faction if necessary. If we can determine who will/can (I think the problem is more about availlability than outright people who don't want to play anymore) continue we can start distributing the factions. If we can't it might indeed be better to call it a day, like PDB suggested.
Just my two cents
Alright, I am "officially" going back as main admin, so I try to get this going, once I figure out whats the situation. If some one could update on who is playing what, who is subbing what, and which factions need replacing, that would help
My apologies everyone for the late answer and mistakes. I give back the main admin position to Jadli, as he was the one that originally started this and knew the possible plans for the RP to go and move forward. This second half of the year, was really my enemy for my free time and mood, so I apologise for it.
As for factions, House Ulfang is open, but I subbed them so far. We can count out most likely athelstan and joe, so Host of Feanor and House Bór and Laegrim can be counted as open. I also subbed the dwarves once or twice, don't remember, but I think we still have JC playing in this hotseat.

Feanor capital Himring is in danger, will their forces be able to lift the upcoming siege? In the meantime, their vassal House of Bor is coming to their aid...
Kingdom of Doriath up! https://www.mediafire.com/file/vn855a8ypmxcum1/QS_Doriath_15.sav/file
Alright, we will get this back on the track. Till the next turn Ill be working on finding replacements, and in case there wouldnt be any, some factions could be indeed subbed.
It also seems we have Nirnaeth Arnoediad event on our doorsteps, so once I figure out the spots, Ill get on this
Hello everyone. Jadli here has been kind enough to offer me the factions of Bor and Fëanor.
This is my first experience on TWC, but hotseats and roleplaying especially with the ingame chat system are nothing new to me.
Looking forward to play
Welcome Isenbard!
forgive my tardyness but with christmas upon me , and the need to get things moving , i apologise for my lack of RP ..but i feel speed is more of the essence ..and thus
turn to falathim

"War is the continuation of politics by other means." - Carl von Clausewitz
Black clouds gather over the Pass of Sirion. Hundreds of drakes run rampant in the foothills south of the pass, escorting the great Dragon Glaurung. While Balrogs drive masses of orcs southward. The Lord of Brethil, commanding the largest army his people have ever assembled, prepares to fight for his lands. He has called upon each and every lord of the peoples of Beleriand for aid, yet among those forces which can arrive in time, few can be spared. The Kings of Nargothrond and Doriath are dealing with their own threats, but he fears that they all will fall if the pass is breached. He knows this though, that he will die before he sees his home conquered.
Meanwhile his son Haldir, rests with his personal retinue on the peaceful western edge of the forest. He often rides out in the mornings and evenings, hoping to find the Lord Cirdan who had promised to march his army to his people's aid.

I'd like for this hotseat to continue, though the turns are slow as of late and there isn't as much RP from the players as we started of with and continued for many turns (myself included ) it is still a fun hotseat to play in my opinion, especially with all the cooperation between the factions in the past/present.
I'll have this up after the new year.
Merry Christmas/happy holidays everyone.
No, problem, enjoy the New Year.
By the way, I got this newly published beauty for Christmas
So, who knows. Perhaps Ill find new new material for some events

Nargothrond and the House of Bëor
Orodreth sits in his hall, building up his kingdom and lending aid to his allies. Orodreth feels a great doom is approaching them. The Noldor and all free peoples need to prepare for it. The fell beast from the Wild Forests have fallen back for now and all is quiet on the frontier. All has gone silent in the north. It is long since a messenger came from that direction bearing news. An ominous silence.
