Thx for the update guys. I loaded an earlier save and all my generals abilities are gone in battle. In fact, it looks like none of my generals have any battle abilities. Is this a bug or design? I'm using DEI and Kams battle mod.
They completely redesigned skills based on culture in vanilla, and I think on an old vanilla save you should be given back all the skill points to reassign them to their new options.
In my new campaign I noticed that Syracuse has taken all of Siciliy, instead of the usual liberation of the two regions adjoining their home region. So it looks like the change to the liberate function is having an effect.
Can we get fixes for normal campaign ?
Currently validating game to earlier non beta state.
Had to many battle crashes - not sure what mod causes it. Campaign map is working. Family - working ( I guess). Traits from dei working (no new stuff).
Beta is kind of buggy for me. Will see after total reinstall .
Don't use any other mod with the latest beta buddy. Only DEI and officially updated submods. You're the only one reporting crashes so the issue is probably on your end.
Bug fixes
Accensi and Rorarii missing from minor town recruitment for Rome - big bug.
Hardcore H/N - does not allow you to have army even if you play Rome.
Now Im facing 6000 Epirotes with no Cav and no slingers. Cheers
I am crash-free so far but for the second time I have gotten a Windows Low Memory warning and Windows wants me to close down RomeII. Perhaps a memory leak in the beta patch?
Another bit of info, probably a bug somewhere, the same Household Characters can be applied to more than one generals/politicians.

Not mentioned directly, but there was a guy who said that he had problems with performance and suspected a memory leak since restarting the game seemed to solve them for a while
I believe both times I was in the screen looking at the Characters screen, but I can't remember for sure. I will keep my eye on it. I have my resource monitor running in the background now and it is holding steady after an hour or so. I have 16GB and wasn't online, just single player.
And I have never been able to assign the same household character to two different faction characters in all my years of playing Rome II that I can remember.
Thanks for the reports everyone. Sounds like a few of the issues are on vanilla's end but thats to be expected with a major beta like this. I am glad to hear that saves are not broken and that new games work okay.
One thing that was reported already was that the Capital Change button now functions as an encyclopedia button again (it was previously not working in vanilla). So if you go to change capital, it will open a website with the encyclopedia. I am not sure if that is something we can fix or if it would require removing the button. I think it may be preferable to just live with it.

Crashed custom / historical battle. Only DeI.
On my end its just not working with the beta patch. Not even with saved games.
The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
