Default [Selucid Kingdom] squalor and ports of capital/special cities [BUG?]

    Hi,

I would just like to bring attention to what appears to be a bug in the squalor system, whereby squalor is not being shown for the ports (at least for the Selucid Kingdom) of capital cities,, or special cities, like Antioch or Alexandria, but it adds up to the total. This means that you essentially can't plan ahead for sanitation in those places.

    Here is an example:

My capital, Antioch, has +5 squalor from Seleucis of Syria (capital building), +6 from urbanisation and +1 from productive summer. This gives a total of 12 squalor. However, despite not having any other squalor inducing buildings or effects, the total squalor is calculated as 14. So, there is 2 squalor missing. I have the Cothon Expansion I, which does not show any added squalor on the building details.

Alexandria has a total of 11 squalor, however I only see +3 from the capital building, +3 from urbanisation and +1 from productive summer. Total is 7, but there is 4 squalor missing. I have the Pharos of Alexandria, which does not show any extra squalor on the building details.

On the other hand, I have Ecbatana, where there is +1, +5 and +4 squalor, from productive summer, province capital and iron works respectively. This adds up to 10, and accurately reflects the total calculated squalor of the city. There is no port.

Also places like Harmosia, with a normal port, add up correctly (with no squalor being shown, or counted for those ports). This is consistent for other places with normal ports.

If I am mistaken, I apologise, but hopefully this helps the modders fix a bug. I do not know if this is only for the Selucids (i suppose not), but I have experienced it with them only, just because I haven't played the other factions to that stage.

Also, if someone else has had the same, please share it here so we can pin down the problem exactly.

    Thanks,

    Eruillu

    Hi,

I just also noticed that Salamis has the squalor calculated wrongly in the other direction. The total should be 7 (+2 provincial town, +3 urbanisation, +2 dry summer), yet it is showing 5 squalor total, so 2 squalor missing. I'm not sure why this is. There is a Neorion port being upgraded into a Chomata, a cattle market is being built, and there are public fountains. The provincial town is "conquered barbarians". Again, this is with the Selucids.

    I hope this helps,

    Eruillu

This is actually a wrong effect that was assigned instead of another. You will be disappointed to find people less... zealous for the Seleucid cause in 1.02d

I will enjoy the challenge. Looking forward to having a rump state between Rome and Parthia in 1.02d
