    Default Rejected General

So i have finished my Takshashilian campaign. Pretty good but also harsh experience sometimes. Now i decided for starting a new one, now as a Carthage. i couldn't not to notice, that almost all of my Fm's have Rejected General trait. I have already done own research through the forum and i did not find much, just a mention, that i am literally forced to be in constant war and shuffle generals here and there for gain a trait which every other faction do not need to bother with? Like, do not tell me that one of the factions with highest fun potential is set back by unnecessary-pesky trait which do not add anything to the game. Like, i know that they have plenty of other traits, which makes their generals tremendously better stat-wise, but this one also force me how to play and with whome to play.

If written above is true and someone knows how to remove this trait from a game w/o corrupting it, please let me know, thank you.

Since that thing of "rejected general" is kinda Carthage specific i only pasted the specific trait for that faction. Sadly i couldnt identify it among the ones showed in the spoiler, i think it prolly shiould be one of the last of the list. Once it is identified i either
would delete those lines and save file and start a new Carthage campaign ( i think EDCT changes arent save compatible)
or i would get the internal name to use the console command remove_trait this internalnameofrejectedgeneralthingy everytime "it would be needed". Targeting the FM or general outside a settlement in the campaign map. Dunno if this would be enought or you should add other trait if the line of general of the army, people of the camp or something like that. I cant see a more "simple" able general in the line of "imperium" trait for romans. Maybe Ghengis Skahn could give us here a hand.

Thanks for the link. It would be great of someone could put a deeper insight into how that ,,Warpoints'' system works(ie- how quickly it fades, what action increases it by what etc.) Also to be honest, i have avoided playing Rome And Carthage, because of office system, which i feel is too much random. I have no influence who gets which traits if more are available. Many may like this random system, but i don't know. Especially that they are appointed just for one year, i do not like such a shuffling. It doesn't suit this old engine and game at all IMO. It lacks comfort and elegance. But in any case i don't want to dehonest a hard work of devs.

You can ''start'' a war simply by blocking a rebel harbor with your navy. It is that easy. Once a war is on, elect a War Leader and send your other eligible FMs to Carthage to be elected as deputy generals.

    Oh, btw

I find Carthages election process very interesting, even though I believe the penalties for the rejected generals are a bit too high.

I find office feature also interresting. It could be a good distraction from ,, just fighting and clicking houses''. I am aware that they did their best with regard of restricted and old engine. That's why it is still most immersive mod for m2tw, but i just quite can't enjoy that need of moving generals here'n there, that's all. And thank you for the tip. It works well.

My advice is that you stick to that campaign and make the system work for you. Carthage is hella fun. You can have armies composed of Punics, Libyans, Numidians, Garamantines, Maures, Iberians, Celtiberians, Celts, Hellenes, Italics, Ilyrians, with the occasional Thracian, Germanic and steppe mercenary - very quickly. Few factions have that much variety that early in the game.

Another problem. How the hell am i supposed to get those first reforms? I let die former king to get one of the Barcid on the throne. I think i have already fought more than 5-6 land battles with romans ( 10 + units) and i don't know how am i supposed to get Rab mahnet trait nor can i find the one who has it now. And the king is already 68 yo. it seems that i am not going to have it, because i don't have another barcid on bloodline and i simply will not let stupidly die another good loyal generals. This is so far the most funy game battle-units wise on one hand and on the other it is most tedious experience reform-office wise.

Maroslav I have some questions for you:
Did you fought the battles by yourself or did you use auto-resolve? Because you have to fight them by yourself for them to have effect.
There is a problem with the Barcid trait in this version of EB because after the first FMs the trait basically never appears again. What you can do to surpass that problem is just using the console to give one of your generals of the army the Barcid trait. I don't remember correctly but its something like this: Click on the FM that you want to give the trait, after open the console and write: add_trait this Barcid (I don't remember if it is like this but its something similar)
Have you already reached the year 237BC? And do you hold Mastia and Gadir?

I have reached all conditions except this traits. Hope they will improve it in future because Carthage is simply the most fun faction to play. I play every battle, but try auto-battle pesky apisthamenoi mini stacks.
Now that i am thinking of it, i don't completely understand that. The available guides differs in conditions( one in pdf and one in guides here on twc). So do i even need faction leader of Barcid or just Rab Mahnet, which, by the way, i can not get too. I can't find the actual one.
