Default The Journey into the Desert

    Hi,

So I finally managed to get the hang of this mod, it's much like DEI. So far I have played Egypt and this has been a difficult but enjoyable process. In the first half of the campaign, the Seleucids kept destroying and attacking my armies, making me renderless and unable to react. However I accepted those battle losses. Better to tactically beat the Selecuids at their own game. So I used my armies and one by one managed to drive them back all the way to Selecuia. However their enemies and satrapies started getting involved and one by one I drove them back, before they attacked my provinces driving me back to Edessa. The Armenians and the Nabeteans rebelled against me which I've destroyed them. Currently this is my phase:

Nicely done! You've almost wiped out the Seleucids and shown who's the real successor king

Would love to see more of this! Which year is it?

On a side note, after you've completed your campaign the team would appreciate your feedback on this faction, anything we can do to make it better

    Thank you!

It's 172 BC, though from memory maybe 176. I'll have a check to update the new post.

Not a problem, will be happy to do so!

In the first stages of the campaign I had trounced by Antiochius the III himself in battle. Seriously, I wasn't doing great. But I held my determination and as spoken before, drove him all the way back. And this is only the AE mod and the AE submod and that's it. The Selecuids will be crushed for certain. Then I hope I can declare war on Carthage, but somehow they seem to have good relations with me which sucks.

Almost is an understatement haha, the Selecuids Satrapies seem to be very loyal and keep attacking my weakly defended provinces. Many times I have tried to defeat them but it requires me raising up taxes. Mercenaries are useful - but I'm a casual vanilla player, and I stretch my armies to thin, meaning I can raise an army in Alexandria, but then get attacked near the Selecuid provinces as shown in the map. This mod is like previously to a DEI Campaign I was playing as Carthage. Very similar. The Selecuids will still need to be beaten, and then full expansion into Asia Minor will be nice. However, I had conquered Selecuia before the Parthians occupied it. I think I have it, but more than now - would be time to conquer the whole of Ancient Persia.

Taxes are a bit bad though - on high I certainly get the income needed, lower taxes down and I am in serious debt - but then there's rebellions and stuff - I get it all sorted.

Plus I had a battle for the first time with the Parthians. They seem to be having a fun time riding the backs of the Selecuids. The Selecuids are still strong though in Asia Minor and I need to raise taxes, consolidate armies and keep the food supply in check. At one point, I had defeated the Selecuids, so they kept retreating. Then they outwitted me and fought back with armies of their own. Their satraps. Damn them!!

I will be updating with more stuff.

    Reposting just in case.

    My campaign has crashed

No mods, just the AE mod and the ANS4 battle camera.

Is it a crash you can't get past? Or did it only crash once? Also what year are you at?
