Re: BI.exe?
Make a new desktop shortcut for the BI game, right click on it select 'properties'
in the target line after the end " type a space and then -mod
your target line should then look like
"I:\program files\activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod
if you run game from that shortcut it will give you standard imperial campaign under the BI.exe
While you're at it put -show_err on the shortcut too:
"I:\program files\activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod -show_err

Re: BI.exe?
You can make RTW units to use BI formations and attributes.

Re: BI.exe?
Great that sounds awsome. Ive also think i read somewhere that there are less suicidal generals, is this true?
Is there a reason not to play BI.exe?
A list of whats different in BI.exe would be great if it existed.

Re: BI.exe?
I think im doing something wrong cause i made a second shortcut of "RomeTW-BI" and the end of the target line i put mod "-show_err"" and now its like this: "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod -show_err"
Then i started a custum battle with couple of roman units and see if there was a shieldwall option to confirm i did it right but quess not.
Can anyone help me out here.

Re: BI.exe?
You are going to have to add the shieldwall formation to your desired units. See this thread for details: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=77313

Re: BI.exe?
Ah i see. What else must i put in manually to fully get the benefits of using the BI.exe. Btw what units really need shield wall, cause i never really played BI?
Stupid question: Need I to put something in manually as well for the better AI im hearing about using BI.exe?

Re: BI.exe?
Playing RTW through the BI exe will result in slightly smarter AI, you don't need to do anything other than my instructions in the other thread.
As for which units work well with shieldwall, I like to give it to the early Roman units and the more organised spear units from the other factions.

Re: BI.exe?
What does it shieldwall actuall do because im thinking not using it would spare me lots of modding for a not so used abilty.

Re: BI.exe?
Whoa. Weird response.
Followed the command line instructions and got this:
Script Error in data/descr_skeleton.txt, at line 56, column 133
AnimDB: could not load- "data/animations/SG 01 idle.cas"
Now wait a minute! I thought the descr_skeleton.txt was a useless file? What gives?
Anyone got ideas?

Re: BI.exe?
Strange, I heard the file was a redundant file aswell. I just checked the BI data folder and a copy of it is included there so maybe not. Have you changed the animation pack at all?
