    Default Not receiving recruited units

    New game, post update.

    In anticipation of rebellion, I decided to raise an army in Caralis.

    I paid in the summer, but in the winter, no units.

    Winter causes the number of recruitment slots in a province to fall, so you may have a queue of units saying they can all be built next turn but they don't actually due to the big fall in recruitment. Although they should still show up in the queue as waiting to be built.

    Similarly you can queue up a load of units in winter, when it says they will take forever to build, then they all get built in spring when the recruitment slots replenish.

    There were no units in the queue come winter. If one must wait two turns to receive units recruited in summer, somebody on the design team needs to make that clear. It is not in the Gameplay guide. All it says is, "During the winter armies cannot recruit new units."

    The units were recruited in summer.

    Pretty sure in all Attila mods, including vanilla, when you add units to the recruitment queue they are recruited at the start of the next turn. That's why it says it takes 1 turn to recruit them, and why if you recruit in a settlement which then comes under siege during the AI turn the units don't recruit. That's just part of the recruitment mechanics in Attila unfortunately, different from the previous games where recruitment occurred at the end of your turn.

    In other words, although you added the units to the queue in summer, the game doesn't actually recruit them (i.e. create the units) until the next turn. Nothing to do with the mod, that's how the game works.

    That said, if the units were removed from the queue in winter without being recruited then that's a bug, unless you converted the region capital into one which couldn't build units at the same time? Uploading a save would probably help us see what's happened.

    I have a save. I barely know how to upload a screen shot. How do I upload the save?

    Zip the save file then use the "Go Advanced" button under the reply to gain the option to attach the file to the reply.

    I've tinkered with the advancement_stage, at no apparent result. Swarbs appears to be correct in that this is an Attila design. At best, I can offer to lower the recruitment penalty if that helps.

    Hahahaha, I have no idea what will help. My background is in social sciences and law, not in IT.

    I need to look through my game saves, if that will help you Sheridan.

    Sorry. I cannot find the save file on my PC. I have the save, but do not know its location to zip it.
