How to run this game + this mod in windowed mode?

I have steam version which i copied elsewhere, but in launcher i still selected steam version as yes. Everything seems to work just fine, script can be activated and no ctds or anything.

But how can i use windowed mode?
Tried to type
windowed:true
to preferences, but it does nothing.

I don't use steam so I'm not sure this will work but you can try, there is no windowed:true or false in preferences using the disk format. open your desktop icon/go to properties at the bottom/ open and add -ne to the target line leaving a space, it should look like this in the pic, left click on it to enlarge

Not doubting your intelligence or anything but you did click on "apply" then "ok" at the bottom of the window after you entered it right? I also found this link with answers from Tone who is one of the main devs of the mod and you could maybe contact ur-Lord Tedric who was the main tester, there is very little he does not know about this mod and he is the go-to guy on the forum for answers http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-windowed-mode

That's kind of you Saul - but I only have a, sincere, but not helpful answer to this - don't!

ie - don't run it in Windowed mode - it's best to do absolutely nothing else except play when you're on RS/RTW. Given you don't want to be running AV/AM software; it means you aren't connected to the internet - so you really shouldn't need to 'tab out'.

Ideally you do what I do - have a completely separate stand alone PC that's just used for RS..... It's old mind you!

It actually works very well when i put it to fullscreen. I did not even realize it was full screen windowed, but typing -ne to launcher works! And if resolution in game is same as desktop, then it becomes full screen windowed. I have not had any issues.

However, i do have 32 GB of ram and water cooled processor. Those help a lot when you have lot of stuff running at the same time, and help if there are any memory leaks.

Alt tabbing is horrible though. With full screen windowed mode i technically press alt and tabulator to get my mouse cursor outside the game, but old school alt tabbing aka when you force game to reload every time you go back to it, that is definetly horrible idea.
