Default Is Praise The Lord off ASAP Rocky's new album not a sample of one of the victory songs on the RS2/3 soundtrack?

Don't have my laptop with me rn so I can't check but this is driving me crazy. I swear I used to hear this every time I'd beat someone as Dacia.

It really does sound like it, and annoyingly, there's little to no information about it available online.

Maybe ask Skepta if he's a fan?

Just got back home today and ran a quick Dacia-Macedonia seige and it definitely is a direct sample https://imgur.com/gallery/7KNgqCR. I wonder if the RS guys can get writing creds?

The track is called Midsummer again and it's by Viktor Tärnholm, off 'Viktor's Album', from the RSIII files. (Midsummer_again.mp3 in data/sounds/music). It's also used in 'Midsummer time v2'.

The question as to whether or not it is a direct sample, however, is up for debate. It's not clear if Viktor also sampled it from a source location that Skepta did.

Or, Skepta's just a massive RS fan.

I don't know if this was one of you, but currently the Wikipedia article for A$AP's album 'Testing' shows this under 'Sample Credits':

""Praise the Lord (Da Shine) (featuring Skepta)" contains a sample of "Midsummer Again – Roma Surrectum II", written by Viktor Tärnholm."

Indeed, a little further digging reveals that the distinctive flute sound is not original to Viktor but instead lifted from GarageBand:

While it's possible that someone associated with the album/track had heard the version used in the mod (Skepta's brother JME is fond of his gaming, though I'm not sure if RS is his style), it seems that they found it by accident in the bank of generic sound clips in some software.
