I tried that before, the problem I found is that it resets if you move the camera around or click on units I think (can't remember), so it's noticeably jerky. What I can remember is that I found it even more immersion breaking.

It doesn't reset if you do that and it's the shift key. I use it a lot for battles by putting the game speed at 0.5 to enjoy the battle.

As far as I remember if you move the camera around it doesn't stay at 1.1 speed, it goes to 1. Then when you stop moving the camera it goes back to 1.1. In other words you can't just set speed at 1.1 at the start of the battle and then play as normal while it maintains that speed consistently while you play, unless this has changed since the last patch. I'll try again but I doubt it.

The ability to set game speed at 0.1 incrementals is one of major advantages of the RTW/M2TW engine over the Warscape. Then you can only have 0.5 and 1.0 speeds that in connection with the very fast battles remove much fun from playing for me.

Been playing some Rome for the first time in 10 years. My older toaster couldn't just run Medieval 2 at all, and this one... barely, but good enough to play. Regardless, it is good to revisit the Rome and BI mods.

Anyway, there's a lot of traits and triggers related to how much movement your character did in a turn? The most common one is getting tired due to forced marching, but worth remembering as well the Kingetos Training, that you can start by accident while you try to move your young general to a settlement to get a political hostage education. You just gotta guess how much is left and hope it is enough to not trigger what you don't want to.
Guess what there's in Rome? (forgive the resolution)
(PS: The forum just won't allow me to post images today, so just check the attachment. A movement points bar.)
