Hannibal as cavalry general?

I'm thinking of doing a Carthage campaign but I'm a bit turned off by the fact that Hannibal is a spearman instead of a cavalry general. Would you consider making him a cavalry general instead of a spearman? Kind of important for a general to be able to quickly get from one end of the battlefield to another

The positioning at the beginning of the campaign has the two armies facing eachother in similar configuration to the real Battle at Zama. In this battle Hannibal was fighting on foot.

If you wish to change this further on in the camapaign simply move Hannibal out of the army and back in. This will allow you to swap his general unit for a small fee, just like if you were to assign a general upon the previous general's passing.

Just so I understand correctly: by moving Hanny out of the army, do you mean disbanding him and recruiting him again? This week I'm not at home where my PC is so I can't test it now

You just replace the general in the 'general view' screen, then you can put him back the following turn with a cavalry unit.

I may sound a bit slow but what do you mean by the "general view". Is it the "General details" tab or the General window in the bottom left? Cause I can't find anything there. And I can't take him out of the army cause splitting armies isn't a thing. Sorry but could you direct me? Like where on the screen do I need to click and stuff?

Yeah the 'general details'. At the bottom left of the ui there is a little button which brings up a screen that shows you all the information about the general and next to it one which brings up a screen showing details about the army. On the 'general' one there is a button to replace the general, I think it's an 'X'.
