Any advice as to how to improve the loyalty of my FMs?

I know about the script of low loyalty due to big empires and the Selfish personality, but i would like to ask for tips for improving the loyalty of my FMs and generals.

I have noticed some things on the campaign that lowers the loyalty of your FMs :

1. If you put a governor on a town that has a blue face, the loyalty of your FM is lowered one point.

2. I noticed that a FM or general being inactive on a town, lowers the FM's loyalty.

3. If you keep a FM on the field for a long time, his loyalty suffers.

Are there any methods or tips on how to improve loyalty?.

Besides any other tips people may give you, mine is to have your FL sat on your capital city and put all your new family members in that same city or the cities closest ones, this i know it works for non barbarian or nomadic faction, that is it works for greeks and the like, carthage, rome... not sure about the other factions. Of course in those cities i build asap school line buildings. I keep the young FM close to my FL for some years while they earn education traits. "Usually" they earn some loyalty too ( or at least they dont loose any....). I consider a "goal attained" if those FM get to arround 25 years old with 3, 4 or even 5 ( sometimes) loyalty.

If I recall correctly I think the faction capital thing works for everyone apart from Rome.

I did look at the relevant doc once, but I'm an idiot so I'm not making guarantees.
