    Icon11 Macedon & Seleucid & Overall Experience

Hello there! First of all, thank you for this amazing mod! I would like to share here my experience of 40+ turn Macedon campaign and 40+ turn Seleucid campaign and some overall notes.

    Macedon (medium, medium):
    - Playstyle: wow. really have struggled too pull this off! Only strategy that really worked was puppet Byzantium and Pergamon asap. Then you are pretty much free to conquer barbarians in the north.
    - Notes: too hard at the starts? I like being challenged but making -1500 every turn is kinda frustrating.
    - My advice:
    1. Add a building that makes income to Pella

    Seleucid (hard, medium):
    - Playstyle: abandoned every eastern territory (just for meme) and went to clash Egypt. Conquered Jerusalem and puppeted them for 80 000.
    - Notes: too easy? No PO problems since I had "Independent Goverment" building in every city and was making 15 000 - 50 000 per turn. I will get to this later.
    - Errors: I couldn't recruit elephants anywhere. Also, shouldn't Seleucid's army trait provide you with more than 1 puppet levy?
    - My advice:
    1. Add some threats on the east to challenge Seleucids)
    2. Starting army for Egypt at Syria (4-5 units) - or not if you actually have historical starting armies.

    Overall:
Campaign - becomes too easy in later turns. I agree with player making huge amount of money later on but in contrast AI should throw full armies on him all the time.
    1. Give better income bonuses for bigger factions (Egypt, Rome).
    2. AI is basically can't conquer regions. From turn 10 to turn 30 all Macedonian enemies were sieging Pella but got pushed back everytime. (Although I even kinda like this as I hate when important factions get viped out.Battles - they are amazing! Maybe too easy sometimes cuz AI but you still have to closely watch your unit morale.
Buildings - I believe this is worked on as some are useful and some are not. But I am concern about some of them.
    1. Self governed province - it provides you with reduced upkeen and native discontent and still the provinces are making 7 000 - 15 000 each turn. Is the -80% tax rate working?
    2. Hellenic main buildings - had like 210% research speed as Seleucid Empire on 25 turn. Is that intended?
Recruitment - I love AOR system and would be grateful if there would be some useful units in it. For example some Cataphract unit for Macedon when they get Antioch? Also why not create an "Elephant resource" building from witch you will be able recruit elephants.
Mercenaries - same as above - would love to see Merc. Ind. Elephants and more mercs in Magna Grecia and Italia!

Aaaaanyyywaaay those are just my humble opinions. Thanks for all your effort!

Thanks a lot for your feedback. We are working hard on the economy and making all buildings viable in particular. The tax exemption modifier should be fixed with the next update. I tend to agree with you on the AI. We can still do more here to help it recruit and build in a more balanced fashion. Addressing the auto resolve issues may to some degree help it in forming larger empires. We'll keep you in the loop for coming updates

I'm on turn 30 of Macedon, normal/normal, I personally don't find it hard, I conquered Byzantium and Pergamon with little issue, and am making 6000+ per turn. Maybe you built the wrong buildings or something?

I know you are Sheridan! And we are all grateful for that.

I conquered them as well but untill you build the self-goverment building you have to deal with PO and also with large capital building maintenance & food consumption in Pergamon. It surely can be done just saying that I had to try multiple times and I am not any beginer in TW lol :-)

i tried a different strategy as macedon.
    - conquered all macedonia ( romans dont care about their city there, they even accept peace after some turns).
    - established trade and non aggression with barbarians to the north
    - conquered gortyna and rodos and landed with 3 stacks in ephesos
    - i made defensive alliance with carthage and that created more trades with their allies.
the campaign is pretty much over
