Thanks! I'm struggling after 10 turns as well, mainly economically but less so with Public Order, that's ok to fix with Town Centre's and Food. The trouble I have is lack of money and sanitation (or lack of). I would love to see your submod giving a boost to sanitation with the well or aqueduct. Both only give +2 sanitation, which isnt enough. I would like to see Aqueduct give +4 sanitation (level 1) but cost more upkeep or build cost.

AE is such a GREAT mod, it's a credit to the devs that they made the game so GOOD that we (me) need "stabilizers" like your submod! Thanks to all.

    I have three campaigns atm.
The first one was running very well with the Romans, but the day before yesterday I found the 4tpy mod so I started a new game.

The second campaign was with the Parthians but a single war after round 2 with Bactria (even with the Seleucids on my side) I can barely play over round 20. Either I'm running out of money or a rebellion is taking overhand in all 3 cities. I have to say that the Parthian campaign is on hard even when you guys recommended "normal". I thought that mod couldn't be so difficult that I can't handle it

The third campaign is again with the Romans on "normal" and I have to say that I can't make it. Other factions don't seem very aggressive but man ... that money problem and the riots. I tried everything:
    1. Problem: riots
Idea: Build governments, shrines / temples, grain storage (sell the surplus)
=> At the end I spend too much money on maintenance => brankrupt

    2. Problem: no money
Idea: Build minings, olive gardens etc, forums and do trading
=> No money left for temples => riots

It's damn doom loop! But I don't give up. This easy cheaty ultra soft Ariel mod is ultima ratio.

I can't decide right now if it's too hard to build an imperium or if I s*ck at playing. I waited so long for this mod I won't give up!

But thank you very much for this softcore mod - maybe I need it later

The biggest eco problem come's from unhappy regions. when this goes down rapidly then your taxes will be at zero. this is what you should do when you start a campaign.

1: start with rome less hard then parthia and you still need to figure out how the system works.
2: make trade deals and create buildings that provide resources
3: convert some hardcore PO regions to Amicus building. this will keep the native population happy.
4: build mints and government, and culture buildings in various provinces.
5: try to keep your army at max 2 full stack for the first 15/20 turns.
6: once your Po is at +30 every turn start converting the amicus to other types

in my current campaign im playing on legendary/legendary and im +/- 30 turns in the game.

    good luck!

Thank you very much indeed! You're right, I need to learn how the eco system works and your tips really helped me.
I tried the forth campaign now with Parthia on "normal" and it seems to work for now (without the softcore mod ). The System is so much more complex than vanilla and I love it.

With the Romans it's like he said. Build Amicus et Socius and you won't have the problem with the public ordner anymore. You can change that later in your campaign when you don't have this starting problems. This building needs just 1 turn and solves for now all your problems with the public order Than you have to calculate if your ressources generates enough f.e. 120 silver x 14 (value) = 1.680 and just 600 maintenance. Boom 10.000 income and no malus anymore

I agree. It would be nice to have a slightly less advantageous option to play.

I'd like to respectfully request a x2 income version without the PO boost.
I love the challenge of getting PO right but I still struggle to make enough $ to thrive.
