I don’t think we need any changes to the rules.

The save passed to Germania
Rome has viciously attacked us for no reason. The Gauls declare war upon Rome, and we will not stop until all of them are punished. We call for other tribes and nations to join us in this endeavor.

Got the save from Germania and Armenia is up!
"The Dragon is wise, a sage among the ignorant. He knows not all that glitters is gold."
So, the Selucid decided to move in on Armenian interests - camped right outside the Parthian capitol.
We suppose this was but an envoy to observe proceedings as our King secures these lands and to deliver what was promised us.
We want what was promised us - Requesting extension in case I don't get home tonight.

The armies of Armenia has crossed the black sea, expanded far into the Anatolian heartlands and even to the far Silk road of the east.
Crimea has been secured, the people of Chersenesos opening the gates to welcome our warriors, protection and governance.
Ancyra is under siege, the fierce warriors long having menaced our people to be challenged for rule.
Powerful and prideful - they are destined to lead in battle, under our banners.
Arsakia has been torn from Parthia by marauders and corrupt nobles, our king having marched for weeks to liberate it. Despite this, we find a Selucid army waiting by it's walls. They saw us coming yet chose to prepare for us, making walls as if to fight us. Making securing the city a dangerous task even for our mighty King. Outnumbered by the renegade defenders and with a foreign army of dubious intent at his back.
These are our people, these are our lands where your gods do not belong - yet you linger in the face of us in disregard of our warnings. We warned you that there would be genocide... Our patience has been lost - leave these lands and if we do not receive what was promised - immediately... You'll pay us double as well as in blood.
Dacia is up.

Dacia subbed and save sent to Greeks.
The Small greek army group had last season marched to the walls of Athens , and prepared there siege equipment , but the administration of Athens was so corrupt that it couldn't raise enough levies to defend the mighty walls. With the walls poorly defended , it took little time , with greek superior numbers, to take a wall not protected by Athens troops , which then lead to a gate being opened.
Once one of the mighty gates of Athens had opened, the peltasts without the protection of the walls began to flee in the streets back to the town square, where they hoped to make there defence. One peltast company was mauled by a combination of a greek peltast and militia hoplite company, that had stormed the now open gate , catching the athen peltasts company by surprise . It later rallied only [the damaged Athens peltast] only to find itself run down by the Spartan commander Antigonos of Sparta with his mounted bodyguard, who happened to be commanding the greek forces. Pushing past the fleeing peltasts, the greek commander ran into the other peltast unit, moving out of the square to see what all the commotion was about [the noise from the fleeing peltast unit , now numbered in there twenties] before the heavy greek cavalry began slashing down with the blades with the superior height on horseback.
Responding to the loss of the life , Athens bought forward there main hoplite troops only to have the cavalry retreat out of range, forcing the hoplites to withdraw back to the square now without there dead missile troops and it took little time, for the greek troops to bring there own missles to bear. One of the hoplite's frustrated with greek peltasts javelins was lured away from its defences , and chasing after the peltast ran smack into a greek militia hoplite squadron , fully ready for combat .
These was what Antigonos was waiting for , as the heavy cavalry had recovered there breath, and suddenly appearing from out of a side street with sword held high, the cavalry took the Athens hoplite squadron in the flank.
The Athens hoplite formation seemed to dissolve as the its front pinned against a spear frontage of hoplites and being smashed by heavy cavalry in the flank , and many Athens where hurled high into the sky with the heavy blow. Many found on there return to the ground , that the hoplite formation had disappeared into a scattered all-for themselves flight , to the square, but none but three escaped the pursing cavalry who ran them down as they fled. The last whole hoplite unit refused to leave the square and was surrounded from all sides and was called upon to surrender to no avail , as the Athenian hoplites hurled insults and wouldn't bend to the Spartan commanders request.
So Antigonos called for a general assault from all sides from all of the units, whilst he and his cavalry squadron looked on and the last hope of Athens independence fell. The elders of the city wasted little time in meeting the Spartan commander, to arrange Athens acceptance into the greek unified alliance.
------------------------------------
There was however diplomatic moves to consider , as the Macedonians were quick to make a deal to descalate tensions between greek and Macedonians factions , and the greeks reciprocated, saying they would not attack Macedonian territory, unless they were provoked and might even send some gold Macedonian's way, of compensation for the units lost...some said , that Armenians diplomats [being enlightened souls] helped in the negotiations that followed , but who could say?
------------------
The last problem was one at Syracuse where the island was held by the Sirculi who had the support of Rome , the greek colony of Syracuse and the carthagians.Such a position was always going to be tense , and the greeks approached the roman ambassador asking for trade and good terms. The roman ambassador immediately took haughty terms demanding that the greek colony of Syracuse was to be handled over to the romans if good relations were to be maintained [obviously seeing a break in his political career for his own advancement] and the weary city elders of Syracuse, sought the consultation of the Carthagians , what was there view ? For such a arrange was sure to upset the balance. Initially the Carthagians agreed that it seemed a bad idea, but after a week of thought [and perhaps negotiations with the romans], they changed their minds , and gave there approval of the deal.
So the plodding greek diplomats again spoke to the romans, seeking clarity of the price they were offering for the greek estates and they received the roman diplomat who visited thrice times. On the first visit , the romans were bemused offering a price, perhaps taken aback that the greeks were indeed willing to consider the deal , as Syracuse was certainly isolated, and they would face the same problems that Athens faced if they wished to reinforce it. On the second time, {after the greeks fought the Macedonians} the roman ambassador was belligerent, saying that the greeks should just hand over Syracuse to them , and give Athens to the Macedonians , the new roman allies.
On the third visit , the greek commander of Syracuse was waiting and getting annoyed at the continual changing of roman political position [as it had only been a few days since they had last spoke} and now the romans said they didn't particularly worry about the Macedonian problem, but they wanted Syracuse for nothing , and the greeks should hand it over.
The Spartan generals eyebrows slowly rose in surprise, and with a permanent frown settled on his face, the Spartan general considered the matter, with all the frustrations of dealing with the roman diplomat.
"Well what is your response?" asked the increasing annoying roman ambassador as he looked around the greek meeting place, seeing a surprisingly large hole , in the ground , inside the city.
With a frown that changed to anger at the temerity of these romans to turn there helpful diplomatic overtures to demands that the city should be handed over for nothing, there could be no other reply , other than....
"This is Syracuse!" , yelled the Spartan , kicking the ambassador into the pit , who fell tumbling into open air, with his death wail screaming out,as the roman fell in the pit in the days sun. No more will we listen to the worlds of Rome , unless they come to us, with the respect that the Tyrants of Syracuse demand.

Save sent to the Roman Republic
Everyone was shocked when the news has arrived to Messana. Council quickly gathered, soldiers are ordered to get ready. Amulius who is one of the greatest generals of Rome recently arrived to Sicily had a strong army under his command. Everyone was hesitating about starting the war with Greeks. Some were even afraid. At that point Amulius stood and said bravely:
"Bloody Greeks have no sense of diplomacy and negotiation. Killing our diplomat in most humiliating way was meaning one thing only. WAR!"
The way he said that was so inspiring to all Romans. Our new war machines from Capua, Ballistas were finally going to be tested. Amulius was trusting his army and country. It didn't take long for him to gather a mighty army and set his camp near Syracuse.
Dionysious of Sparta was trusting walls of Syracuse. As he trusts the wall of his weak hoplites far from Sparta. He knew he declared war by killing Roman diplomat and was expecting a siege. But what he didn't know was the ballistas.
With the broken gates and damaged walls, Roman soldiers were in the city already. Panicked Greeks broke their formation while our men was fighting with complete discipline. Dionysios was captured alive at the end of the battle. And he sent to his own hole in the middle of his city, and tasted the same death with our diplomats.
Things weren't so difficult and different at north as well. The barbarians who got weak with the fall of Patavium were in fear. Outnumbering those peasants, our republic has captured another settlement with a glorius battle. Italy is ours now. Whoever is planning to stand in our way, shall think again!

RP out:
Well also, its impossible to break a stone wall (including gates) with a ballista. I tried but the ballista isn't targeting the door before it destroys the 2 towers over the doors. And it doesn't have enough ammo to just fully destroy a wall. Now as for the my complaining even before the hotseat started, the barbarian factions get Onager from the building we get ballista. Thats why I wanted it to change in this post

I guess we can't do anything about it now. Also I didn't check if there is any change made with Britannia's general bodyguards. They are broken in vanilla. You can get ridicilious victories with them. Talking about manually can't won battles here. Like such in this video:

Or such defeats like in this video:

Thanks for your input zender.
As for the ballista/onager question, I didn't know this but I also believe this won't affect the game too much. Maybe it will affect it for the better anyway since there is 0% that you can defeat the greeks easy. But, while in "civilized" nations, there are a lot of settlements where you can build that building, cities and large towns are far rarer in Barbarian countries. So they won't be able to just spam onagers..
As for the chariots, I had no idea, but when there is a crazy victory/defeat like this, we will probably ban that battle and force it to be played manually.
Ohh, and sinking ships/leveling up agents/bunch of stuff is a lot harder in RTW, it is not a bug.

I rather think it just highlights the risk of bordering the romans ,as they look for any excuse for a "defensive" strike to expand the empire, as any harsh words, will lead to bloodshed [looking pointedly at carthage with a warning look ] ..
but rather sad that Archimedes , who told a invading roman soldier to sit down and shutup whilst he was finishing a maths problem of some note, was cut down by a roman sword......

Turn done and sent to Egypt
"I never asked for this, no more than I asked to be king. Yet dare I disregard her? We do not choose our destinies. Yet we must ... we must do our duty, no? Great or small, we must do our duty"
-Stannis Baratheon
After pushing the Seleucids out of Sidon and driving their forces back to Antioch the Egyptian armies prepared for the next step in its conquest. The island stronghold of Salamis had long been a Ptolemaic possession that had been in Seleucid hands since its conquest by them on turn 1.
Our courageous spy once again managed to open the gates to another town.
Our fleet after crushing the Seleucid fleet outside the port of Antioch on the previous turn turned back and ferried a force to attack the town of Salamis. Once inside the gates, our arrows managed to destroy the two spears and sustained minimal casualties.
The Seleucid Army had prepared an elaborate defense of its capital with a set of two lines of forts. However our diplomat with clever words and a large treasury managed to dismantle this defense and bribed all three forts.
The stage is now set for the ultimate showdown with the Seleucid Empire with the road to Antioch clear.
