Default Has any1 made Pergamon work?

So as the ancient greek fanboy I am, ofc I had to play the Kingdom of Pergamon. But after trying 3 times to do diffrently I still cant get the economy to go positive. The faction is not especially popular by any of the other factions so i have not been able to establish trade with anyone. except the already established trade agreement with Rome. And starting with only 1 settlement i really dont have anything to offer for an agreement either.
So after trying to hold on by a thread my troops eventually succumb to attrition and the cities gets taken by rebels.
Hell I do like a challange and build my empire from scratch but I wonder if its even mathematically possible to survive as Pergamon?
Has any1 made this faction work then pls share if u have any tips

I managed to make it until turn 10 on N/N difficulty with medium size army, then i went bankrupt.

On the first turn, use your army and siege bitinia in the north and make it your puppet with also making a trade agreement.
Your new puppet will get a full stack in the next turn, set ephesus as coordination target and conquer ephesus.
I built a marble quarry and cattle farm in the starting settlent and i continued to upgrade it.
In ephesus i build a well for sanitation, an olive tree plantation, a granary, and a theatre for public order and culture conversion.
Sadly the economy malus in winter is totally insane and coupled with the income malus due to low public order gave me 0 funds in winter with -4000 gold of projected income

Also an unrelated question, have you noticed some major heating due to workload in your processor? When I am on the campaign map, my processor temperatur gos up to 95° C, while usually, in vanilla attila or warhammer it stays around 77°C.

Unless you take another town or city on the first coupe turns and create a puppet state it is mathematically impossible to survive. This is the risk you run with high difficulty mods. It makes for a very linear play through; unless you do the exact right moves early you will lose, meaning you can't build 90% of the buildings or design an alternate army composition.

In first settlement build a granary and a greek farm. Upgrade them and set your province to Export food.

Im something of a powerhouse in the east on playthrough and all my provinces export food. Earns 1000s.

Take ephesus early. You can scale the walls in one section and it has smaller garrison than bithiniya.

    Hope that helps.

All our factions aren't perfectly balanced yet. The Greeks will be receiving more attention, both in terms of unit stats and of the building balance. Plus, Pergamon needs some missions and objectives. Creating a balance where only one choice yields success is not our goal. It's still a sandbox game. Every building chain should have its advantages and disadvantages, which requires a balanced composition for the best result. With that said, Pergamon is a small faction. The first dozen turns may be best adapted for a particular strategy simply because of limitations in building slots. Some of our testers have gotten past 40 turns as Pergamon, without an issue. I think the linearity wears off as soon as the faction has expanded and has more options available.

I am also an Ancient Greek fanboy and I'm also playing all my playthroughs with PERGAMON, this is what I do

assign a Governor to export food and generate 100 income, build GRANARY and STONE QUARRY, send your army to Bythinia or Ephesus to RAID (this gives you money and food) doing this you will avoid bankrupcy (in winter you loose a lot of money, in summer you get it back) the only problem I can't fight is CIVIL UNREST, it is almost impossible to keep it green

try this and then tell us how it goes!

i am up to turn 20 on H/H and i have made Macedon-Bithynia my puppet states.I have also gained military access to the Odryssian Kingdoms lands and i have just conquered and raised Corinthia to the ground so i can rebuild from scratch. So much more fun playing a tiny one settlement Hellenic faction.Really hope the team make Trapezos playable

Big thanks all of you guys for the tips.
I will give Pergamon another try again soon. I will basically try to make a barrier of puppet states around myself when conquering territories. Making me not have to deal with massively negative public order and let the puppets manage the territories and raise their own full stack armies.
