Subjugated Cities
I know this is probably a legacy carry over from Attila itself, and Rome II before it, but I'm very frustrated by the effects of Subjugating cities.
As Macedon I conquered both Bithynia and Oddrysia, and chose to Subjugate them as I was trying to preparing for the inevitable war with Rome and wanted a more secure Eastern front without the problems of managing a province.
What bugs me is that immediately upon Subjugation a new army appears for the subjugated state, and over the next few turns they begin amassing troops for a full stack. Without bothering to fix their buildings, and apparently not needing any gold, despite their treasuries being emptied.
Fast forward another few turns, and suddenly I'm checking my diplomacy tab and realize when Rome declared war, apparently both these two not only just dissolved the subjugation bur were at War with me. In and of itself, that doesn't bug me as history shows that happened quite often.
What does bug me is the full stack armies they're throwing at me, and the magically repaired buildings/economy, and the fact that with the tribute they shouldn't be even close to ready to begin massing an army, let alone trying to break away.
Just...one of my biggest issues with CA and the Total War series for a long time now is the magical
the AI does. Please, if there's any way you guys can mitigate this as much as possible, please choose to do so.
