Default How to deal with slaves?

I'm currently playing as the Kingdom of Pergamon and own the city of Cizycus and suddenly I got a 20 public order penalty and the reason given is "slavery". This kinda came out of nowhere so I'm not aware of how to combat it. Any advice?

Okay, so I've discovered that some buildings decrease the slave penalty but that doesn't explain why it came up outta nowhere

Again, I'm having the same problem! I haven't taken any slaves that I know of, nor built any Slave Trade buildings, so...

Same problem! It's not clear how is it possible to reduce slavery.

We are about to make an update to slavery. hope this helps a bit. @Sheridan could probably help elaborate more on the mechanics.

Playing a new campaign with AE latest version as Pergamon. I having a huge problem with slaves with no clear reason. I did not enslave any people and it just keeps rising. I'm at turn 56 and its +34. 5 turns ago it was +28.
Is it a bug or intentional? How can this be dealt with?
    Appreciate any help...

    Edit:
I think I was able to solve the issue by applying Sell Slaves edict which decreases slaves by 15% per turn but puts a 50% penalty on Public Order.
