any news for agent?
I just loaded the campaign for the first time in a while and the new campaign map is so gorgeous. Feels so much better.
Was the Carthago Nova map removed though?
how long until update e? also i think that carthage should be destroyed
We will have an update tomorrow. July 16th - wont be everything we originally intended, but should be satisfying. Thank you!
EDIT: Will have to delay further. Sorry all, were having trouble with some of our latest changes.
Has anyone else never seen the AI recruit naval units?
I wonder if the 'type' of force has something to do with it.
On the right is vanilla attila (or with minor mods). On the left with is the Ancient Empires mod. All land armies are listed as 'navy' and naval forces aren't shown (I know that in that save that faction had a 'navy' with only the commander's unit.)

Maaaaaan I cant install your mod. It is not downloading to my Attila Data folder. Instead it goes to the workshop folder and when I put the pack files to Attila/data it starts downloading 18gb again to the workshop folder and prevents game from starting. I read that I am not the only one having this problem. It is not the first time Itried to install your mod. 1.02 was the same. Drives me mad and I start loosing hope for now.Is there any non steam download for vers 1.03?
Sry you are right. Thought they have to be in the data folder because of installation guide. Now I can start the mod but it seems that it does not run like it should. Dont know but when I am in the Campaign Menue I have a white screen where the Faction Leaders should be. When I click on custom battles the game freezes and I get the message: the program Attila tw doesnt respond. I have to close via task manager. Anyways Campaign is playable so far. Tried one turn and did a battle, seems to work. Sry for my bad english and thanks for your reply. Is this custom battle issue normal or do you have any Idea to solve this issue?
v1.03e - July 30th, 2018
New Features
- New battle terrain textures - should make thing look less "burnt" and more "green"
- All new Roman's 2.0 marian legions - Update can be seen in Preview section - (Unfinished)
Bug Fixes
- Fixed Parthian and Pontus battle crash - please let us know if this continues.
- Corrected Syracuse map - now playable and does not crash
I know it's hard to put a date on these things, but do you think the next big update (restart) will come out within the next week?
Campaign modder for Ancient Empires
Congratulations!
This mode can become as good as Europa Barbarorum for Rome and divide et impera for Rome 2.
Battles are already better than in devide et impera. You can lose with lighter skirmisher army but flanking and funny stuff also work.
But for the moment i have to lay off campaigning and wait. Big factions are not active, at all.
I played 100 turns with Carthage and 50 with Macedon on legendary.
I'm disappointed with AI Rome but fighting smaller AI blobs with Macedon was really hard. Restarted game 3 times. One significant defeat/mistake and you are finished, as in Legendary campaign should be.
When you fix big factions thing game will be totally playable.
Economy is cool. It's not easy to chose right paths and with population it can be better.
I hope u'll make realistic manpower system for player and AI as well.
v1.03h - August 11th, 2018
- Achaean League Political Power should be better to start off with.
- Corrected missing general textures from the models pack
- New features *the AI should now retreat more often when it is outnumbered heavily, it should also be much more likely to initiate night battles with high-command generals.
- AI should be significantly more aggressive versus player settlements when they are ideal targets, and will use more strategical retreats when its own armies are battered.
- Auto-resolve spearmen are now slightly stronger and auto-resolve has been adjusted in general. Will require testing to confirm that it's improved.
- Difficulty scaling from imperium and difficulty level have been significantly altered, aiming for a harder campaign for those who choose.
- New ancillary portraits
- Building icons
- Additional NEW 15 Roman Generals from Benjins' AAA Generals Mod
- New UI Textures for Hellenic Factions
Does this only work for the grand campaign? I cant get it working for the last roman or age of charlemagne.
Also on the main campaign all the factions character is just a white box? I cant see what they look like is this correct as per the last update?
