This is a WIP mod I'm creating that adds Rome to Thrones of Britannia. Why is that you ask? Because why not! The plot goes something like: Legio IX Hispana disappears after 120 AD and suddenly reappears in the 9th century AD, and they have to fight their way across Britain is a brutal attempt to restore some semblance of Roman rule. Right now there is only a custom battle portion of the mod, as the assembly kit has not yet been released. However, I plan to add a campaign element in the future where the player is in control of the legion, composed of large amounts of crack troops but with a catch: no replenishment. The objective of the campaign will be to retake the settlements of Britain for Rome (using the occupation_decision_gift_to_another_faction occupation decision to delegate settlements to an AI ally with much lower quality troops), and the campaign will include many scripted events.
As for now, I've only got the custom battle portion of the mod done, so if you want to play that,
here you go!
Also, if you're wondering why the Roman units are so OP, it's because they're meant to be ultimately finite in number in the campaign where every loss will count and carry over from battle to battle due to no replenishment. I've just decided that it might be fun to play with Rome in custom battles for now.
