Siege Units
Lusted, why does the AI field so many siege units in its armies? Each full stack that I fight (French mainly) has 6 to 8 siege units. I was not aware that in the 10th and 11th centuries artillery played such a major role. Am I wrong to think this?
This isn't a great problem as I simply rush the AI and slaughter these units. But the AI is missing 6 to 8 normal units because of its love of siege units. I think it weakens the AI's fighting ability. The AI would do better to simply field 6 to 8 extra spearmen IMO.

Re: Siege Units
" It mainly because of Unit costs I think. When the AI is recruiting troops...It tend to recruit cheap troops "
Not correct int this case, I'm afraid. I've check the costs and siege units are some of the most expensive available.

Re: Siege Units
Siege units are already someof the most expensive aroumnd, but the ai will still field a few in its armies, it will field more units later on, but early on it seems to like them.
