    Hello everybody.

I have started a side project of DEI's Graphics Presets, using my customized version of the latest ReShade as a base. I will not use complex ENB or GEM presets at the moment, because I want this project to be user friendly and very very easy to handle for everyone.
So we're thinking about an Official DEI Presetwith 3 possible versions which you could change during your gameplay on the fly by pushing a key, according to battlefield, weather conditions, battle conditions etc
For starters you could choose between a more Cinematic (heavy on FPS experience), Arcade-Lightweight (close to the game version) for sieges and heavy battles or a Photorealistic preset for pics and various art projects. I could add more presets later by popular demand.

Advantages of this Preset: 1)On the fly (during gameplay) change. 2)True Anti-Aliasing support. 3)Advanced Graphics with minimal FPS loss. 4)Extreme quality-detail or smoother gameplay when needed.

What do you think about them? Feel free to share your thoughts with a comment and a vote.
Preview of the different versions is WIP and will be available soonish.

    Cheers.

Small Preview style WIP sample from the Devs thread. ( Photorealistic and Cinematic presets for comparison). Be advised that colors may differ depending on your setup and monitor. Lighting is still pretty much a WIP, cause of a few issues with HD Environments, volumetric fog etc

Τhe Forum of course downgrades the resolution. Using Extreme ingame settings, 1440p resolution, celtιcus romeII HD orbis terrarum v1.1b, abmod 3c lighting, nohdr saturation and contrast, pdguru grass, pdguru skins,Visual Effects and of course our new updated and enriched from @Don Diego @L.L's work. Τhe differences will be more visible in the future as I'm still calibrating many things. Currently the most notable change is the palette (stronger colors) cinematic is gloomier and the light's density. My preferable example for ψομπαρισον is picture 2 (the roman tanks).
As you can see the preset was changed on the fly during the same ''scene'' and that's only one of Reshade's great advantages.

    Thanks GS.
I'm quite out from this kind of discussion since I'm not interested in graphics at all, so ill' go for all of the above.

Photo-realistic-super HD-rendered beards gets my vote. But I dont see this option in the list?

Oh and dont know if we already have something like this but maybe a sticky thread that lists GEMFX/Reshade settings (like yours and Kams for each version) and peoples favourite or recommended graphical mods that can be used with DEI such as Celticus ROME HD Orbis, best particle/dust mod, best blood mods?

We certainly could do something like that. If the Boss is positive (@Dresden) I'll add it to my list.

Arcade-Lightweight. I prefer performance over visuals as I enjoy doing battles on huge units scale.

Understandable. We could have both though. I just want to see people's preferences.

Thank you Greek Strategos. Personally, I'd like the most realistic, with the least FPS hit.

i like this idea a lot. Once the previews are available then i can make a more informed decision, at the moment though, i'm feeling greedy so i'll take them all.

I'm sure you'll find our preset satisfying then.

Very good idea, Strategos! I'm always keen to try various graphic presets.

I've never actually succeeded in making ReShade work with Rome 2 on my laptop and I've been using exclusively GEM, but if you come up with some interesting propositions I will certianly give it another try.

Both cinematic and realistic presets would be of interest to me, however, at times I feel like my hardware cannot really handle the most taxing graphics under certain circumstances, so another option that is a bit easier on FPS would also be welcome.

My purpose is to provide you with an all around solution, with zero hassle and just a drag and drop one time thing.

Excited to see what you can do! Will this be designed to work with any other visual mods?

With every HD submod and of course with all texture and graphic mods. You can't use a Preset together with another preset though. So Reshade can't be used together with GEM for example.
