AC/DC would easily kick Van Halen's arse.
Why?
Well, AC/DC are Australian, and are therefore harder than Americans by default. They are also a 5 piece, which gives them the numerical advantage, plus the fact that Van Halen are a bit effminate anyway and would be too worried about messing up their hair in a fight.
Musically, AC/DC win on songs and debauchery, Van Halen win on Technical skill and showmanship.

It depends. AC/DC is good sports and driving music. I go to a football game I listen to them and scorpions (rock you like a hurricane) or whitesnake.
As far as just fun party music, Van Hagar all the way. Can't beat Cabo Wabo.

I voted AC/DC... Don't know much songs of Van Halen, but the ones I know are worse than AC/DC heavy excelled music.
AC/DC are also more well-known I think... this eases to much their victory.

Young couldnt carry Eddie's jockstrap. I voted Van Halen but I object to the poll as the poll should be Roth-Era Van Halen vs AC/DC. AC/DC is by far the band Id most like to hang out with though if it came down to Van Halen or AC/DC mostly cause Eddie appears to be a total dick. And seriously AC/DC does kick ass but VH is simply the better overall band imo.
