My own transfer was not based upon any "political motives" and I doubt anyone would ever bother to change their patronage again for such a reason in the current system of the Curia. I understand that your project is to show the origin of each citizen, but I also think it would be interesting to track the changes of patronage if at all possible. Although I suppose it would be difficult to track such changes unless the involved parties made public announcements of their transfers.

Yes, I understand what you mean. The wiki pages track all of the changes. Anyone is capable of editing. In the past, changes were only kept informally via signatures. If you look carefully, you will catch stuff like formally under the patronage of ... or Under the protection of ... etc...

As it is right now, there is no formal way to change your patron. I actually have an idea about creating a formal change, but I am not sure if it worth the time to propose it.

It's one of the elements of unique TWC that has sadly been lost. An 'Is no longer my patron' post was always good for drama..

It is based on Generation and the number of branches. It started off as a means to organized the houses themselves.
The major branches have a minimal rule is two lines of at least two or more generations. The "branches" themselves have no real importance except to illustrate a significant line.

The political divisions have no relevance since the project focus on absolute lineage/ patronages. This project does not alter or replace the history of the site, so Hader has his Imperial House. However, the genealogy project places his House and others into historical context.
