    @bruno
    thanks and glad to hear that.

    I think you are refering to taw's blogpost about an alleged reputation bug in the code.
    http://t-a-w.blogspot.de/2009/11/why...edieval-2.html

    In my opinion, this is no bug. When you look at the code, your faction standing will neither increase or decrease, when you occupy a settlement without looting or slaughtering.

    Other nations should not like you,when you occupy a city.
    Look at it this way: If you play france and the hre snatches away 5 rebel border provinces, you would not like it or commend their chivalry, because they have not massacred the civilians. You would be indifferent or worried.

    Have this for a further read, it's much better explained, why it is not a bug:

    So, I do not fix a bug, that is no bug

    I made some small changes to their roster for 3.0 as they are one of the factions I already tested.
    But if you could elaborate on the "they are overpowered" a bit and give me some more examples and details, I might look into them again. Right now I do not have the feeling, that they are overpowered.

    Im playing as Spain and right now they have too many armies.I had taken Cairo during a Crusade and i had to leave it cause they could field too many armies,but i couldnt because my base of operations was far away.Maybe if had send more than one army...Oh by the way during crusades the ai never takes any cities or castles.Ai factions join the crusade but they dont reach their destination.

    Ok I see. That is not OP Egypt, that is the same problem the crusaders faced. Too little supply and support...

    And you are right, you should take more than one army crusading if you can. Especially when you want to take Cairo (the heartland of the egypts.)
    And yes, you will get swarmed, and should expect that.

    The AI and crusades are a different kinf of thing. I have seen plenty of times that they reach their destination and take the crusade target. But the big problem is, if you as a player, go by ship, you will be much faster than the AI that exclusively travels by land and run into problems at spots like Gibraltar or Constantinople if their path is blocked. Then they attempt to go all the way round.
    Under ideak circumstances and no sea traveling, they are as fast as you and i have also seen them beat me to a crusade target and snatch it away from my army. (I probably waited a bit to long to join the crusade).

    So for me, everything seems in order, but thanks for your feedback

    Apparently I didn't have my game updated to 1.5 when I last tried this. I'll give it one more go though!

    @kitten
    Sure, you may want to check out the Road to 3.0 thread where I released the 2.999 version (without an official release), which will be the last one before the final 3.0 drops.

    Tried and it didn't work yet again. I modified my bat to use kingdoms.exe instead nad it worked like a charm. Then I checked the alternative .bat and noticed it did the same thing. Although I remember trying it last time as well.

    This was on 2.9 btw. I wanted to try the version with the smaller size. The download took forever.

    Yeah, the normal bat is for the steam version, which does not have a kingdoms.exe. The alternative bat is for the CD version which has the kingdoms.exe. So nothing wrong here.

    And yes, the mod grew in size, and as I am not paying for super duper fast webspace and instead using a free mediafire account you may have to deal with the download taking a bit longer than from professional developers.

    Mega is free and has quite a bit of storage. And their speeds are quite good. You should try it for 3.0.

    Ok, thanks. I just used it for the 3.0 upload

    Now I close this thread, as 3.0 is now the way to go...
