I can only think of things that are rather speculative and probably wrong, but might as well throw them out there. As a Springfield is a rifle, and the direction of travel is towards it, it could be "rifle approach" / "shotgun approach". With a similar theme, but not accounting for direction of travel as much it could possibly be "ride shotgun".

Wah? How's anything in those pictures hint at that?

Came from Kansas = not in Kansas anymore...

I know it's bad, but it's not the worst thing that's been posted here!

Sigh, I just don't see how you could expect people to involve Kansas in the solution just because the arrow's tail points in that general direction and omit Springfield which the arrow is pointing directly at.

Are you sure about that? I am quite new to this game, but I have a hard time thinking how it could be worse.

You are suggesting that someone is coming from Aldrich United Methodist Church in boondocks, Missouri, and making their way to Springfield-Branson National Airport, also in Missouri. And Kansas is not even on the map.

I commend Aexodus for having superhuman powers of deduction. Hats off, everyone.

Well I did not see that on the map that was posted. I know Kansas is on some maps. Do you suggest that it is okay to leave relevant hints outside the picture that is posted?

I gave written hints, about looking at the bigger picture and 'in context' then I posted the other map that showed Kansas... I thought doing that originally would be too bloody obvious. The 'from' idea seemed to work OK, as in the 'from Missouri' guess

My bad. I actually missed the second post with the adjusted map. But I did spend some time trying to figure this one out, and I would like us to have the relevant information for solving the mystery at hand in the initial post.
