Thread: The catchphrase game

Reminder that the floor is open to whomever wants it. No rush though, as I understand most people are busy doing holiday stuff (I myself only just got any time to turn on my computer at all).

Let's continue this game. We have a catchphrase, not an idiom this time.

Are you sure this is a catchphrase in English?

Yes, it is from a well-known comedic TV show.

Nice to see Mak return to the game victorious! It is indeed what the lovable robot in Futurama says.

    Your turn!

It's a 'catchphrase' from a tv series. I'm not around for a couple of days so discuss amongst yourselves

So far nothing. If someone likes to this cooperatively, here is what I think.

    1. like, up
    2. wheel, spinning, could also have to do with the lights.
    3. can, seat, toilet
    4. I think the seal is the thing, not the buoy. Although could be float, carry.

you're correct that the pictures all could have different meanings

so far you've only mentioned one correct word (which is a homphone for the one required)

    "Good night, John Boy"

    Impressive.

I actually did not know the "boy" can be a homophone with buoy. I always pronounced it boo ee.

This could be a literal depiction of a phrase of sorts, but I'm looking for a catchphrase.

All I can think of is the weird "Stay out of my personal space" guy from Rick and Morty.

    A Caravaggio, right?

It certainly is related to the mindset for which the main character of the painting is known. One that is in itself proverbial (though that is not the answer I am looking for).

Maybe something like "Let's see what you're made of".
