Can't open saved campaign

Can't open my saved campaign. Tried from the menu after launching the game and also after launching a new campaign

Sounds like a corrupted save, I'm afraid. There's nothing unusual in that log that would suggest something out of the ordinary is going on.

any way this could have been avoidable? I save religiously before ending every turn. I know the game will CTD if you play for too long without closing out and reopening, I'm trying to remember to do that more often. Not sure if that is related, but this has already happened once before (250+ turns into Sweboz campaign) and I'm curious if there's anything I can do to prevent it

Regardless, thanks for the quick response Quintus. You're the man, and this masterpiece you and countless others have created together is still one of, if not THE, greatest games I've ever played!

M2TW is an old game with all sorts of hardcoded issues we can't really fix, only mitigate. We disabled autosave because it corrupts saved games - the only other thing you can do is use more than one slot so that the corruption of a single save doesn't lose your whole campaign.
