The great King of Parthia rallies his men: "Sons of Persia, we have tolerated these trespassers in our lands for too long! The perfumed Greeks and treacherous Romans shall be driven into to the sea, I swear it, on my ancestors we shall reclaim the splendor of Cyrus!" The Parthian soldiers resplendent in their armor let forth a cry and marched to war.

Anthony does not tolerate any agression by the "sisters of persia" they armies ran fast away, when they saw Quintus and his 3 thousand men.

I am gonna make this clear for now as it seems we have some newer players here...

Look at your bloody turns, you can reload as much as you want, you can look at everyone their turns. No offense but this Parthian move was more than just questionable and I have encountered it multiple times and its called "suiciding". There are literly 2 stacks being placed right next to an enemy fullstack, a more stupid move I sadly can not imagine for a parthian player. I only joined this HS cause players were needed and I was asked but this is pretty sad to play in.

Well you should have chosen parthia. Maybe you are better, would do better? Certainly.... He could have picked Dacia.

He coudn't scout ahead Saleska btw my stack was hidden in a fort. Behind the mountains.

"Surely he put this army that can defeat my troops completely out of range of that easy to defend settlement!" Is what you are saying? I am not playing my turns properly either but I do not just suicide armies when I know there is gonna be a stack to defeat

Go to the archive and look for "Newbloods Italian war HS". Took me roughly 8-10 turns to find out France was just suiciding his armies and gave all his land to another faction basicly, then he just randomly quit HotSeating. Not again, no ty

So what you are implying here is, that you are gonna quit the HS? Yes i was saying that i would defend the settlement, but the only problem with his attack was that he put cavalry up front and did not put the 2 armies next to eachother...

Just to stick my head in as I talked to celival while he was bragging bout it in discord or such. Saleska I think your reasons are fine for being angry that parthia decided to lose two stacks and in my perspective it just looks like everyone else in the hotseat will have to put more effort into focusing on celival's alliance as you would now control the east. I would also say it is rather a placement issue where a newblood was given an important faction and the death of it would result in a great disadvantage in the hotseat. Also celival I do not think its worth trying to explain your just reason on how he didn't suicide I think its just rather the idea that parthia is gonna die due to his lack of experience.

At last of course Aurane do not feel at fault here this is just how it has been with newbloods for awhile and they lead vets and the position of the hotseat in a difficult position I guess my biggest mistake was in TES newbloods IV and it resulted into large aggression from Sharnhelm behind the scenes that forced the entirety of the hotseat to not be focused on Clan of Crowns as they were the biggest contender. You'll get experience eventually Aurane just stick with us.

(this does not even mention that roman factions can't do diplomacy between each other so it would really just be Dacia and one other person trying to fight the other alliance while worrying about attacks from behind)

There was no complainments when Saleska allied with Parthia... no outsiders of course. That was all fair and square

Hi, would just like to clarify am trash and not intentionally suiciding, if it makes y'all feel any better my moves against Egypt were less erroneous.

Don't feel too bad about it, use it as a lesson and try to avoid making the same errors in the future. I guess most of us made some (big) mistakes in our first hotseats

Also lol I scouted extensively in anatolia and had previously tested quintus vs my stacks even 1on1. I just didn't consider he would muster the additional 3-4 units from other settlements that made the difference in autoresolve so tough luck on me. Anyway I find it ironic that Dacia is accusing me of throwing; if you were so worried about us vs Anthony you could've coordinated with me instead of not responding to my embassy?

While Saleska's anger is justified after he witness a minor defeat from his ally, accusing that person of suciding armies on purpose seems exaggerate as I believe this is one of his first hotseats. All of us experienced defeats in the beginning after all it is how we get experience in the end, as King of Dawn previously stated. It's not the end of the line for Parthia, as it's still in a strong position and can recover from this so Anthony is not saved in the east.

If Saleska chooses to leave, I'm not in position to stop him from doing it, it's his decision whatever or not he feels to continue but it's still early on in the game so a lot of things can happen.
