    For now, only the emirs or the caliph look different from other Muslim generals. Maybe I will go further but it is not my priority and my problem converting .ms3d to .cas greatly limits me.


    - I removed all the princesses with Henins (15th century headdresses) or with a little historical aspect to replace them with the type of model published above by changing the colors according to the factions.


    - I also deleted the models of Italian merchants for the same reason as for the princesses (late 15th century models). They are replaced by models of the same type as those of the Byzantines and Georgians.


    - For diplomats, I keep an old model for the papal states only.

    I think I do something with the eastern factions, it's in my schedule, but I'm less comfortable with them than with the western factions.

    Playing and advancing in the mod takes time !
    So I only completed the first 3 steps on my to-do list, but while playing a campaign with the Papal's States, I took the opportunity to create a special general each time the player brings their Pope to the battlefield.




    I also noticed that the mercenary_spearmen looked too much like heavy sergeants, or armored_sergeant. So I did them again.

    mosty the rum seljuks (turks in anatolia) need better late texture like janissary swordsmen as in eras total war and new texture to the janissary heavy infantry to be more (ottomanic)

    My priority is to work on the first periods (12th-13th century) and there is so much to do already...
    If I can achieve all that I want, I hope one day to be able to deal with these Janissaries and other late units.

    Yeah look great! In what images or resources have you guided yourself to make them?
    Do you plan to make them different according to the faction?( Different shields, uniforms, armours...) for example to make "new skins" for the Andalusian Saracen or Moorish militias different from the Abbasis or Seljuks.
    Would you like to create new units or are you going to "remodel" the current Muslim units for now?

    I don't plan to create new units at this time. I am trying to improve the ones already in place so that they correspond better to the 12th-13th century.


    The unit in question Ahdath militia is used by all Muslim factions (except the Seljuk who only use Shurtah milia)
    I don't have a specific model for the evaluation of these militiamen. I rely on the information provided in the game, such as their skill and protection statistics for example in order to keep consistency with other similar units (for example, Shurtah militia is a less empowered and less protected militia unit)


    If you have images for me to suggest, I intend to redo:
    - Fari archers
    - the Ghulams
    - Improved first level Arab infantry

    To differentiate units between factions, I just think I resorted to color. Changing the textures is possible but more tedious.
    If you have any details to give on the units of the Moors that interests me, of course !

    Hi Kostic, I am playing the Serbian campaign (KCC 0.95 SSHIP 0.97 patch G) and encountered an CTD while starting the battle - after a while I found out what is the problem. Whenever I have spear militia upgraded to level 2 the game crashes. So I found the entry in the export_desc_units.txt:

    No more crashes. Its just a hint, maybe you want to check what exactly is going on.. Many faction use this model so probably many players may be potentially afected.

    I found the error. Spear_militia_ug2 and spear_militia_ug3 did not have texture only for serbia !!! Sorry for this thoughtlessness ...


    You can return the 4 levels of upgrades to the battle_model.modeldb file once you have added this textures gs_kmail_kmail_serbia.rar in:
    data / unit_models / sandy_units / en_lmail_hmail / textures

    If you don't, you won't get the ug3 buff either.

    So I modified my ahdath militia a little and took into account the proposals of l.a.juna to carry out these units.
    You will see the ahdath militia and their upgrade, the faris archers on foot and on horseback ... that's all for now.
    The colors are those for the Moors faction. I haven't changed the colors for each faction yet.
