Hello, Kostic. I stumbled upon a fascinating find when searching for figurative Islamic art for my event pics.
Reproduction of a Nasrid Wall Painting

This is half of a reproduction of the "house of painting" in alhambra. It is possibly* the only extant painting of Hispanomuslim soldiers from an Islamic source that exists, and im astonished it doesn't get more attention. PDF link to some close ups. One can see many similarities to the Alfonso manuscripts, especially the Codex Rico Cantigas de Santa Maria

Indeed, this fresco is quite remarkable and shows many Andalusian horsemen. Do you know when it was painted?
    Thank you for sharing

Estimates fall between 1270-1310. I can't find a lot of information on it. Most suggest 14th century side of that range.

Comparison of French and Aragonese feudal knights. They have the same 3D model but a system of caches on the textures makes it possible to show the lesser use of closed helms in Iberia.

@j.a.luna may recognize my coat of arms of these ancestors on some knights. I'm continuing the work so that each faction has feudal knights with various coats of arms.

Really great feudal knights my friend! I love see them with historical coat of arms! And of course see the famous aragonese house called "Casa de Luna' , do you need more information for others coat of arms? I can help you...
    +++Rep for you!

Here you have another historical image with the most important houses of Aragón:

Everything happens with the texture. I work it in .tga on photoshop. You have to work with the layers:

    1- Show channels
2- select the Alpha1 channel (or create a new white channel if the Alpha1 does not appear)
3- place a mask by blackening the area to be made disappear that we will have previously selected on the texture.
    4- Save the texture

The hidden area will not appear on the 3D model.

Your work continues to mature with time. Your Iberian knights look just like those in the Gran conquista de Ultramar manuscript. It is a shame the miniatures in that manuscript remained incomplete. Great work, mon ami.

Maybe we can fix the Caucasian hillmen?

sword is expensive for them. short spear-like weapon is creation of a Georgian blacksmith himself(I talked to him personally, he told me that- he cut the handle of the spear and reduced its length).Let them have-Ax + shield and 2 axes.

Let's remove the hats(It's strange).let it be a chainmail Coif and just hairstyle

They wore either a fur mantle or a fur jacket. not together-Together, a fur jacket and a fur mantle are very inconvenient. Caucasians do not wear both together

I'm really glad that new historically accurate units are being added to the game and old boring units are being removed. I like kostic's artistic vision.

kostic can you sculpt forms - weapons, shields, helmets?

Good to know again about your great units kostic! Love these feudal knights!

1-On the other hand , when you have more time and you can, i would like the rework of old vainilla units as for example slavics eastern and rus units ( slavic archer militia, eastern spear militia, magyars cavalry and more)

2-Another kostic question, why are the Sicilians now going to have feudal knights? They already have the Norman knights that replace them... or perhaps the Norman knights will be available for more factions besides the English and Sicilians?

3-spearmen' spear, you mean you have improved the graphic quality of the spears?

4-Last but not least, about the horse coverings and their heraldry (surcoats), have you added it to the feudal knights and does it correspond to later times?

@Khevsur : I often use available material which I modify if necessary. I know how to build weapons and shields in 3D but it sometimes takes a long time. This is not necessarily necessary and it is simpler to start from a 3D model already created.

    @j.a.luna :
1- it’s in my list of units to review
2- the Norman knights should soon be recruitable by France and the Holy Empire at the request of @Jurand
3- there was just a graphical bug on certain spearmen's spears reported by a player
4- the problem of covers for the horses of feudal knights is insoluble. Impossible to make their coat of arms correspond to those of the rider unfortunately.
I plan to make covers for each faction concerned which reflect a certain unity in the colors. I don't have a better idea at the moment.

ok kostic, I know you have a long list to rework units and that takes time but little by little you are adding more and that is the important thing, as you know I think that your work with the unit graphics is a very important contribution to the mod.

On the other hand, regarding the Norman knights, does this mean that the Sicilians will no longer have them available? Or will France and HRE also have them along with England and Sicily?
The Normans, as you know, in addition to being in England and Normandy, were in Sicily, that's why I was surprised that they now had feudal knights (besides the fact that you have already made your magnificent unit models of Sicilian Norman Knights)

It is good to make weapons and helmets.

Georgian units have been in the process of production for 5 years, this is a long time. @umbracatervae777 rarely has free time to work on this. It would be great if you could work together on this. I can draw textures (although I think I have drawn all the textures already). As a result, units will be created quickly. This has to end sometime, it's been going on for too long.I want to play with these units in this life, I don't know if this game will be in the next life

I would be delighted if our friend @umbracatervae777 would post his work on Google Drive, for example, so that I could download it.
I will replace Georgia's old units with theirs.
He would just need to provide me with his unit_models folder containing the .mesh and .textures + his export_descr_uni.txt file and his battle_models.modeldb file

I don't understand why he still hasn't done it.

@Kevshur and @kostic Couldn't you please ask @umbra by private message if he could attend to your requests and pass on the work already done so that it can be added to sship mod?

On the other hand, Kostic, could you answer the aforementioned topic about the Norman Knights? I think it is historical to keep these Norman knights in Sicily as it was, right?
